About
Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club was carved from the sloping hillside of the Coast Mountain Range. Robert Trent Jones Jr. deftly designed the course across ravines, creeks, and waterfalls, which accumulates to over 400 feet in dramatic elevation changes. Jones closely followed the natural contours of the rugged terrain, creating a golf course that blends seamlessly into the landscape. It shares a home with an abundance of wildlife as well including deer, black bears, and a variety of indigenous birds. Douglas firs blanket the course along with outcroppings of exposed granite rock. The generous fairways are lined with trees and deep bunkers are strategically placed throughout. One of Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club's most notable holes is the par-3 eighth, which begins at an elevated tee situated 80 feet above the green with a large pond to the left and granite cliffs to the right.

Tough course
One of most beautiful scenery course I played, staffs are very nice and informative. First five holes are cart pass only and it’s up hill all the way to the green. We had two groups front of us who were drunk as skunks and no marshals on the course. Just imagine waiting every single holes to tee off and waiting again in the fairway get to the green. We called pro shop to speed things but they didn’t do anything, they got our money already so we were on our own. Such a beautiful and challenging course but lack of customer service was put down.
Beautiful Views
Great views of Whistler & Blackcomb mountains!
Difficult to play the first time as there is trouble you don’t know about. Layout & flowers are incredible. The first 6 holes had 4 cart path only & played painfully slow- the marshal did get the slowest group going. Not all forward tee boxes were level.
MOuntain Beauty
Great course for all levels of play. THe course was carved out of a mountain. Every hole looked like a post card. Great experience, great conditions, awesome time. Frist class gold experience. I would paly this again if I returned to the area....
Beautiful course in a picturesque setting. Front nine is difficult, but don’t get discouraged. Back nine is much more friendlier.
Good but not great
After reading some earlier reviews on this course, I had high expectations that this was a must play while in Whistler.
Whilst the course was good it wasn’t great.
The par 3’s where very good , but most of the other holes lacked the wow factor I was looking for.
The course was in great condition with really fast greens.
Great Value on Golf Now App
This was a amazing course and the value was the best through the GolfNow app. Fantastic opportunity using the Hot Deal. Will continue to come back for more.
Course and weather were great. there was a very slow group 2 ahead that took forever. otherwise great day and the bear sighting was a highlight.
Great course, views and condition
Wow this course doesn't disappoint. The pace of play was great. The green, fairways and tee boxes were in wonderful shape. The scenery is spectacular. Got to play if you go to Whistler
What a great place!
I absolutely loved this golf course. The views are incredible and you hear flowing water throughout the round making for a serene experience. It has a great variety of holes with some target golf and some “let ‘er rip” tee shots. I enjoyed all of the variety, and the staff is exceptional. The Fairmont hotel quality transferred right over to the course. Even better, great exchange rate for US golfers too!
