Very nice courwe
Course was in great shape for an early fall round. Tough holes.
Not what was expected
No course layout documentation and no distance measuring equals an extremely difficult round. If they intend on not having GPS then they should publish a booklet with some distance info. As for the course itself, simply average in condition and quite hilly. Greens are still showing winter kill in August. Too out of the way and not of a high enough quality to warrant another visit. A wedding on hole number 8 that NO ONE TOLD US ABOUT, added to the complexity of the game. Do we wedge over the wedding party or take a two stroke penalty and move on?
Nice picturesque layout
Pretty nice. The lack of GPS on the carts makes for a trickier round. There are a lot of blind shots, lots of hills which makes for a lot of uneven lies. Fairways and cuts are in good shape and rough is just that, rough; pretty thick and deep so stay on the fairways or within the first cut. The greens are in pretty rough shape compared to other courses but, playable for sure. Tee boxes are pretty good for the most part but can be a little bumpy and some are not fully flat which makes it hard to find a good solid flat area to tee up from. Overall this course is pretty good.

very challenging. tight fairways
Fairaways very bumpy.alot of rocks just beneath the grass, damage 3 clubs this season. Greens are stilk in rough shape..
Afternoon golf
We were in a foursome enjoying our day until catching up to a group of six on the fourth hole. They did not motion us to play through and it was annoying waiting for them to play. On the tenth hole a staff member stopped and asked us how the day was going. We explained the problem and the group ahead was immediately told to let us play through on the eleventh hole. The rest of the round was fine. I know the staff was unaware of the group of six and we were pleased to see them take quick action to solve the problem.
Disappointing Overall
The course itself is in an attractive rural setting. However, it misses many requirements of a real golf course. The putting greens are in rough shape and overall a poor course layout . The staff mowing the greens were going around and around in circles obstructing play in a way that made no sense. They had staff driving a half ton truck on the golf cart path on #11 while we were in play. No sense of golf etiquette.
Very narrow and challenging
Excellent course, very challenging with driver, too much so for my play level, but lots of balls in bag, so still good experience. Biggest downside was the bugs. they could have carried me away if they put their minds to it
Bring Bug Spray (Lots!!)
Played on a beautiful sunny day. Course is quite challenging with lots of elevation changes. Some fairways are very narrow.Couple of holes had temporay greens due to damage from severe winter.
Blackflies were so bad on back nine they almost chased us of the course.
If you going to play bring LOTS of an effective bug repellent.
True Value
Just a great place to play, challenging but yet made for the average golfer to have fun Playing!!!!!! The last hole at over 600 yards makes you want to come back and beat it.
Early Spring
I have golfed this course many (many) times and I am a huge fan of the elevation changes, difficulty and overall variety of holes. The course just opened for the season but honestly they need to close half of their greens and make temporary ones to not do further damage. The cottages are amazing and there is great value in the stay and play packages. Generally speaking though I feel like they need to take it up a notch in their care for the course and their customer service. I will keep coming back unless either of the two negatives mentioned above get worse.
Great Layout,heinous greens
Great course layout, worst condition I have ever seen greens in. I really enjoy the layout and views, its spectacular, however the greens were in utter disrepair. Looks like the greens were not tarped for the winter. Greens were not playable on most holes. I would highly recommend this course if the greens are fixed later in the season if they do not recover I wouldn't waste a dime on it.
amazing
Beautiful course, fun, challenging, great staff, lots of wildlife, not far from the city. What more could you ask for?
Super great staff
A perfect day and staff was great! Would love to play the course a second time.
Very nice course
I enjoyed the course. Very nice scenic course..Very friendly and helpful staff.
Outstanding place to play
I've played this course a fair number of times but this was my first through golfnow and it was a steal of a deal! The course is in great shape and the greens roll true. The grounds are well kept, the wildlife on the course is nice to see and the staff is some of the friendliest in the province.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful golf course. Had a great time! Went with brother in law and 2 nephews and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day! 13 year old went golfing for the first time. Lost a few balls on the tight narrow holes!
nature at its best
Wonderful experience.
Great character.
Challenging holes :)
