About
Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club, located in southwestern Ontario on the outskirts of Guelph, offers three different nine-hole golf courses. All 27 holes stretch across a beautiful rolling landscape that is dotted with large ponds. The land is also densely forested, making shot accuracy integral in doing well. The Valley's creek also meanders through several holes. Each golf course at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club is uniquely designed to offer a variety of different challenges. The Lakes Course, as its name implies, features plenty of water hazards. There are also strategically placed, Ohio white sand bunkers to be cautious of. Although it has a good amount of challenges, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf courses at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club.

Please lower the mower blades
Good overall layout but conditions are a bit poor in spots. Lowering the mower blades an inch would greatly improve this course
A gem in the making
The course has very large greens, lots of water and trees that make the layout a virtual gem. The problem was we could see the gem that is Ariss but it needs better maintenance to bring out the real beauty. There were areas on the greens that looked like there was still winter damage and the fairways were not very well cut or seeded. The greens if manicured could be wicked with all the undulations they have, and I look forward to that. Please don’t get me wrong, I truly believe the course can be truly outstanding once it is maintained more so than it appeared to be and with the clubhouse renovations completed it can only add to the level of refinement it will have. You owe yourself at least a look because despite the issues I noted this could be visually among the better courses near the GTA.
Great layout poor upkeep
I thought the layout of this course was nice and they had a very nice piece of land. The overall upkeep of the course was terrible from tee boxes to fairways to greens all were not what I expected from an $80 round. Burnout and not properly cut fairways or tee boxes brought this from a good experience to an OK one.

Fun layout
A nice little course . Great layout. Nice views. Club house was under construction and the course conditions were a bit rough though.
Not Bad
I’ve played at Ariss Valley twice this year. They have very good availability and the staff is great.
However, many of the tee blocks are uneven and and in rough shape. Many of the greens also have patches that are unplayable this year.
Poor conditions
Decent course. Conditions weren’t great. Two slow groups in front of us caused a 5 hour round. Marshall did not nothing about it.
Great price for 18 + a cart but the course condition is rough
I want to like this course (the location is good, the layout is nice, priced decently) but the course condition is very rough. I’ve golfed almost all the courses is the area and this one seems to be the worst.

Just make sure the greens mowers put flag back in.
