Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines is one of three nine-hole courses at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club, which is located on the outskirts of Guelph. The Pines golf course shares a heavily forested landscape that is dotted with large ponds with the other two courses, the Willows and the Lakes. There is also a creek that winds through several holes. In addition to the water hazards coming into play, the Pines course also features several strategically placed, Ohio white sand bunkers. Each golf course at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club is uniquely designed to offer a great variety of interesting par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s. The golf courses offer something for players of every skill level

Love this Place
This is becoming my new favourite course in the area. I can always get on. As another reviewer has stated, if you can walk it, it is great value for money and a good workout. I prefer the Willows and Pines over the Lakes 9-holes. They take extra care to keep the greens near perfect which is very much appreciated. Great "country course" with friendly staff. Good variety of holes. 9th hole on the Pines is a great finishing hole.
Good Fathers Day
Played with my wife and daughter Fathers Day, great condition, friendly staff, good pace of play and lots of fun. Course was in good shape and a challenging but fair layout
Bargain if you can handle the walk
I am a purist who will always walk if it's allowed and often steer clear of courses where it's not. The added benefit here is I was able to find an online deal to walk that was less than half the regular riding rate. Another benefit is the workout. There's a lot more up and down than may be apparent from the parking lot. There's also a lot more water then we were expecting. If you, like my playing partner, have a water carry phobia, bring lots of balls.
Course conditions are near perfect. Bring either local knowledge or a GPS map aid. Many holes are blind. Pace was quick on a weekday morning.
If I had to find one thing to be critical about, it was that it was often difficult to find a level spot on the teeing boxes. Not enough to stop me coming back, but just one of the little things that would move this from a great local course to a destination.
Too Busy and no control of pace
Great course but players (tournament and regular golfer) slow pace.
good course
greens in better shape than any golf north course
Always like playing Ariss
Book Ariss at least once a month. We get a great deal on Golf Now with cart. Challenging enough course where you have to use course management. Would recommend to anyone.
Fun on a wet course
The course was very wet, but should dry out in a week or so, according to the proshop fella. Staff is always great here and the course is kept up. We'll be back when it's a little drier.
great shap this time of year
WOW ..what a day ...nobody out this morning ..felt like i had the course to myself ...so nice playing solo sometimes. Nice calm relaxing round...wish could have putted better ... would have had a round of the year if so. thanks to Arris for a great day .
The greens were in great shape. The staff as usual were friendly and helpful. Good value and worth the drive. We'll be back
very good shape
I played the course today for the first time in a month and it is in great shape. The fairways are clean and the greens are perfect. If you have a chance to get out there soon, then do it. For around 40 dollars with a cart is a great deal and you will be challenged.
Some of you mentally...LOL
Hot
it was very hot and no cart girl much needed, but was told cart was down. Other than that course was great staff was great moved along very well. Would play again and recommend to friends
Ariss in September
The course was a fair challenge and in excellent shape and the greens were one of the best I have seen this year. I can't wait to play Ariss again.
great place to play!
27 Holes and all equally good. Staff was wonderful and. Friendly and took 2 other players who had not played before. We played the Lakes and the Pines. Cannot say enough! Try it out and believe you will go back!!!!
2 Newbies loved it.
great day
great day ... so nice ...not busy early ..got out before mini tourn
ARISS Valley
3 x 9 holes. Played Pines and Willows. Used every club in my bag. Great course layout, greens are fast and very well maintained.
Good "country course"
The course is what I would describe as a "country course", which basically means the rough is patchy and quite long. Missing the fairway by a foot or two and it's easy to lose a ball. The greens are very fast and well maintained which is why the rough being the way it was seemed off. Even the fairway seemed off, maybe it was the type of grass. But all in all, the price is good for what you get, 27 holes and the layout are pretty challenging. The staff was excellent and very friendly. It was my first time there so maybe the course needed some maintenance and it's usually in better shape. I'll try again for sure.
