Poor shape and overpriced
The course is in much poorer shape than other courses in the area. The pace of play is poor. The greens fee is much too high for the experience provided.
Its a short course
No where did it say this was a SHORT course.
One 9 was 3000 yards, and the second 9 was 2700 yards from the back tees.
If it said it was a short course, I would not have played it. I teed off with a hybrid on 14 or more holes. It wasn't an issue, approach shots were between 120-170, but I wish I knew that.
Need 10+ minute tee time slots
The pace of play here is terrible. They book in 8 minute incriments. Thats a 2.4hr round which isnt enough time. Thats way too tight for a public course. They are just trying to squeeze more money out of more tee times. They also need to cut some of the trees back from the tee boxes. Lots of nice shots robbed by overhanging trees which although challenging, gets old. Fun course though.
Value
I like this course and have played it many times but for 95$ on May 5th I would expect the conditions of the fairways, tee boxes and greens to be in better shape!! For less than 15$ I could play 20 other courses. Terrible value
Seems like Golf north needs to communicate better with the proshop, we got the impression the reservation was an overbooking on GN's end. The gentleman at the clubhouse was very kind and accommodating about the issue though!
The marshal however drove directly down the center of hole 9 while we were trying to tee off (over the greens) which was a little odd and annoying.
The manager of the restaurant was amazing!
Good place to play
In the end of November, we played 18 holes there. Conditions are acceptable. Greens are good enough to have fun.
