Conditioning not what it used to be
I've been playing Westview a few times a year for over 30 years and have never seen the conditions, specifically the fairways, in as bad a shape as this year. Not sure what happened. Summer drought perhaps; although other courses I have played this year in the area have not shown similar conditions and I haven't heard or read of bad conditions at other neighbouring courses. Let's hope it is a one time thing. I will not return this year for another round.
Enjoyable!!
Friendly staffs, woody surrounded, lovely course !! We enjoyed whenever we go .
Wish not far from us but still we are going whenever we find good deal.
Westview in Aurora
I have been a Clublink member for 18 years and play Diamond, King’s Riding and King Valley a few times a year in the same area. I had more fun playing Westview.. the views from high elevation is spectacular and the mature forests are gorgeous. Staff is friendly! There is a simplicity that is appreciated that you do not need a chateau like club house to enjoy a sandwich and drink. The sandwiches/sausages were excellent... better than most. Mark
Mature and Scenic Course in poor condition
This has always been a mature and scenic course to play on with many challenging holes but the course is not in good condition, be ready for bare or scalped fairways and a very rough ride on the cart paths.
Good value
As a single I was paired with a lovely family, dad and his 2 adult children. Great day. Greens were the best part of the course. Will most definitely play again and soon.
Course is in bad condition
I have been playing this course for many years.i have never seen it in such a bad condition. The greens were fine but you can see that the rest is being neglected. Won't be back any time soon.
Westview Is A Tough Cookie!!!
Played yesterday in the hot humid weather. I forgot Westview is very hilly and it's challenging to walk the course. The layouts are good; tight fairways, uphill greens, demand accurate shots. The condition of the course is bit dry given the hot spell recently. I finished the round in 3hrs and would definitely come back next week... with a cart!
Good value, friendly starter/staff, wonderful time.
Difficult but enjoyable
A couple of fairways were dry. Greens are well maintained though. Excellent layout.
Good layout but.....
The 227 holes are interesting to play but the tee boxes leave a lot to be desired, especially the women's tees.
The greens were in good condition but their speed was on the slow side.
Round at Westview
First time playing and was impressed by the the Lakeside and Middle nines. Stretched out about 6,350 yards from the white tees, with petty tight, tree lined fairways. I would play again
