Tarandowah Golfers Club
About
Tarandowah Golfers Club has a unique layout that closely resembles traditional Scottish links golf courses. There are undulating greens and sloped fairways that are made up of bentgrass and wispy fescue. Although there are no water hazards, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts more than 100 deep, sod-faced bunkers that prove to be just as challenging if not more. Strong winds blow through the golf course, a factor that will affect your game if not careful. Tarandowah Golfers Club has several tricky uphill par 4s, but its longest and one of its more challenging holes is the par-5 14th, which stretches to 588 yards.

Test your game
Tarandowah is unlike any course in the area, with fast hard fairways lined with fescue focus is on hitting fairways, missing pot bunkers which like true links style courses are an automatic stroke penalty.
Blind shots and undulating greens place premium on distance control and imagination of shots.
If the wind is up, which is often, this adds the extra dimension which makes this course a must play for anyone who truly wants to test their game on a different type of golf course.
A fun and challenging course to play
We started on time and finished in four and a quarter hours. The fairways were hard and similar in playing conditions to other courses in the area. Greens were in good condition but there were too many unrepaired ball marks.
Friendly staff greeted us before and during our round. The Starter offered us a free basket of range balls and a course guide. Much appreciated. A refreshment cart passed our group multiple times during the round. Picked up food at the 10th tee.
Looking forward to teeing it up again at Tarandowah.
a good links course
in a gusty and sunny afternoon, we played 4some at this course. It says there are over 108 bunkers at the course, the fairway was dry and hard, the green was faaaaast.
The proshop was very friendly and helpful .
The only thing I can see an improvement is the amenities and the club house, it can use some renovation.
Great shape tough greens.
Course was green but rough was a bit more over grown than normal. Went on the long weekend with family and found the pin placements very difficult and close to the edge of the greens on a lot of the holes (felt like the holes were setup for a professional tournament). Find the price to play this course fairly expensive considering it does not have a proper clubhouse or dining facilities. No ball washers at any of the holes and tee off markers were not clearly identified or were missing. Overall the course was in good shape and greens were fast and firm.
Great layout.
This course is a real challenge. Choose your decks wisely. The greens here are fantastic. Very playable course but when the wind is up, it's a whole different game. Not your average course here. Requires thought every shot. Love this place. Just wish it was a little closer to my home but worth the drive from Kitchener.
RANKED 40?
A good course but ranking is way too high. Nearby Otter Creek is a better course. They have tons of traps but should have a machine to work them as having patrons doing it has just as much chance as most who do not repair divots. Greens are tough, not to many flat spots.
Challenging Track for a 35 handicap.
Great tracks for tournament .. unfortunately a bit too much bunkers for intermediate player like me. Long track with very little giveaways.. Great conditions on starters, fairway and greens were in best shape I’ve seen this season.
Had a good day, not happy about my score and definitely challenge my sand box skills loll..
Great staff, thank you!

coase was in good shape after a heavy rain at night and for april
Worth the drive
Course is one of my favorites and if was closer to our home in Burlington we would play it a lot more.
Aiden the young man that works at the course in the pro shop was extremely friendly and very helpful Nice to see that at a golf course this time of the year.
