Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

Nice mix of 8 traditional and 9 links style holes. Large greens.

A very nice layout with a good variety of holes. This is one of my favorite courses in the Barrie area. It is good value for the money & I look forward to playing my next round at Heritage Hills.
Best Greens Around
Course always in good condition. Some wet areas like every course this year but very playable layout. Greens are big with lots of character and in excellent condition throughout. Greens staff obviously take pride in the product. I did not use the small clubhouse really but it looks clean and tidy and staff are friendly. Play can get slowed down in a couple spots but overall has become the new go- to course for me.
Good mix of challenging holes moving from parkland to links style. Par 3s are a challenge too. Greens are are fast and true, bunkers are also well maintained. Overall would be happy to play again.
Nice layout
There is an interesting feature on most of the holes. Some challenging parts but still playable.
Great Layout
I've played this course before and always liked the design. The excessive rains meant that there was little roll in the fairways but we just move up one tee block and had a great round.
Challenging course
The layout is great, various tee blocks for all skill levels, and super friendly staff. Don't understand why they water the greens while we are playing at 2:00 in the afternoon. Got wet and played the rest of the round cold.
To early so too wet still
Lots of very wet spots on the course due to recent rains and it appears that the course doesn't drain very well. However, to be fair it is very early in the spring for all the snow to have melted and been absorbed into a saturated ground.
Still playable but hope your golf shoes are water proof.
Great layout
Does not drain well though. A few holes on the front 9 were waterlogged. Good thing they still allowed carts to be out.
First Time Experience
The fairways were soggy but in good shape, sand bunkers were hit and miss (some were maintained, some washed out). With the winds howling, some holes played extremely long. The course should take note of that and move the tee decks based on weather conditions in the future for pace of play purposes. Fortunately I played when hardly anybody was out. Greens were running slow and felt grainy. I am not sure if they mow them down by peak season but they are in need of grooming. The only major complaint: the flag locations were tournament Sunday locations; to elaborate, some of them in ridiculous spots. I am almost a single digit handicap so I could only imagine how difficult it would have made it for recreational players. Overall it is fair in terms of value but it wouldn't hurt if they shaved 5-10 dollars off for a green fee for this time of the season.
Fall Pleasure
Had a good round of golf on a late autumn day. Greens are always in great shape rolling true and for the fall quick. The bunkers are in poor shape so stay out of them. A pleasure to play.
golf
excellent weather for November course and greens in good shape good value for time year
Nice course
Any round we can get in at this time of year is a good round. The fairways are in good shape, I found the sand too many times, some of the greens are just not fair, ya I know, WAAA. I found myself with at least 6 putts that were 3-4 breakers, uphill then down, some tough greens but in good shape. We enjoyed the day but a one hour drive is a bit of a bummer. We'll go again but I won't be a regular.

The best course under $50 I've ever played. Love it
