Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

I've played this course a few times now. Regular price is a little expensive but I got a great deal on Golf Now. Still waiting for them to get a real clubhouse but the course is excellent. Better than some other courses in the area but not too challenging for the average golfer.
Enjoyable Afternoon w/Wife
Wanted to take my wife to a course that wasn't high pressure and where we could golf as a twosome. Jason in pro shop was very helpful and very friendly -- indicated that a twosome was fine. Booked tee time online and got the best rate. However, when we went to tee-off the starter pushed the next twosome together with our 2 and indicated that things were backing up -- which was utter nonsense. When we finished the first hole, no one was even on the starting tee -- so we split into twosomes again. Never saw a golfer behind us until the 9th hole when things were back up ahead of us causing us all to slow down. We waited for people ahead the entire back nine, but never had anyone pushing us from behind. Not sure why the starter forced us to join together. Other than that, it was a nice afternoon -- finished in just under 4-1/2 hours. Greens were in good condition with some nice undulation so the putts were all a bit challenging without being ridiculous. Great value for money.
Sorry to hear about the twosome issue, we try to pair twosomes together so keep the pace of play consistent. We appreciate the feedback! Hope you come back this summer!
Average course conditions . Challenging greens
Beautiful weather.
Good pace of play.
Fairways were pretty bad.
Greens not in greatest shape.
A bit overvalued. Should be cheaper.
We offer the best rates on our website! Be sure to check it out for great tee time specials. We've also been working to keep the greens in good shape. We hope you give us another shot!
Poor Conditioning
Booked this course last minute after reading some positive reviews. The course was not in good shape at all. Spotty rough, fairways and tees. The greens were in good condition although slow. 4 hours and 25 minutes to play. It definitely was not worth the price of admission. There are some MUCH better options out there in this price range!
We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the conditions! We've been working hard to keep the course in great shape. Come back this summer!
Good bang for the buck, but slow play.
Marshalls need to make slow groups allow the faster groups play through. Two open holes in front of the group we were following. Waited an annoying 3 or so minutes every hole.
Sorry to hear the pace of play was a bit slow, we do our best to keep all golfers satisfied and certainly appreciate the feedback.
Worth a go!
Interesting course with a variety of holes. Some more challenging. Played 18 holes in 3 1/4 hours can't beat that pace of play
Great pace of play! Hope to see you again this summer.
It's early - only open a couple if weeks...
I have played Heritage Hills a number of times over the last 3 or 4 years. my comments are about an early spring time early golf season round of golf.the greens are already starting to roll very well.the greens are the best feature of the golf course in that they are large and undulating and they role true due to very good care in my opinion.
We're glad you enjoyed your round so early on in the season! We've been working hard to keep the greens in great shape. Hope to see you again this summer!
Excellent course - great layout
This is an excellent course with a very interesting layout of parkland and links holes. Greens are very tough with lots of subtle undulation. Several forced carries make for a challenging round. I played 2 weeks after it opened for the season and a few holes were a bit wet - but this is a definite summer replay.
Great Greens
Great course with the first six hole going through the woods having to keep the driver in play. then you go more into a links style course. The par 5 eight hole is great , be careful not to be to long of the tee, then over a large waste area to a dogleg right up hill.17 is a short par four be careful of the tee and the next shot is all carry to the green over a deep gorge. Great hole!
nice
Has everything u expect in a nice corse. Will definitely play again
Heritage Hills Golf Club
Good day at H.H> Good value at $40 for golf and cart.
Variety of style from parkland/treed to links. Greens can be very challenging with lots of undulations and tricky pin placements
Heritage Hills
Not a bad course, facilitites do not matter much but course could be better tended to. Greens are inconsistant at best.
Tough Greens
Need to place your shot in the right section of the undulating greens to score well
Great value just north of Barrie
My rating is a bit harsh, only because their facilities are lacking. That said, Heritage Hills offers a good round of golf for a good price. The course starts off with 6 holes through forested grounds, then opens up into "links style" holes which cross a deep ravine four times. I played the blue tees, from which the course is just under 6,400 yards. Greens undulate quite a bit. Practice facilities are pretty good, too.
Nice Course
Good layout-greens and tees in good shape-fairways just ok-enjoyed playing here.
great course
fantastic day of golfing as a single. Friendly staff. The course had very few groups playing and I played 18 in 2hrs 22min. Fairways and greens were in great condition. I love the course architecture. I played from the blues and the slope rating is bang on.
Great course!! Going back soon
Huge greens. Lots of variety front nine is well shaded but back nine opens right up to a more links style course. Lots of fun other then slow couple in front of us but still had a great time.
This course needs work
Course needs some work......I got on for 45$ with cart but that's all I would pay for it. Facilities are poor.Clubhouse looks like what you would see in a trailer park....
Good Value
Course conditions have improved over the years. Greens were in good conditions, fairways so-so. Cart paths need improving
appealing look beverage handicapped
The course is very nice, it was a little wet in that the sand traps were lakes and don't need avoiding. The beverage girl never went around even though the staff answered me that she would be.
Overall the course is easy on the eyes and enjoyable. Relax and bring some water.
We offer the best rates on our website so be sure to check often for tee time specials! Glad you enjoyed the round!
