Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

Fairly wide open course, good for average players. Not overly challenging. Great pace, no one ahead of us nor behind us.
Great Father's Day
Nice course I never new existed. Some scary shots over the ravine and back. Very little water and some holes laid out in a links style. Great condition on the greens. I will return.
Great value
Course was in very good shape. Pace of play was very slow but to be expected on Fathers Day. Really needs to have drinking water available on course at a few holes . Have golfed here many times before and will comeback again .
Fun Day at Heritage Hills
Good value for your money if u get a special through Golfnow. I wouldn't pay full price to play. The course is in good condition only. However, it offers different tee blocks to make it challenging to play. Greens were in good shape.
worth to play
Since it was on weekdays, no player in front or after us so it was very relaxing. However, it was pretty windy especially around 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
Power cart is a must. Good value at this special price.
Get your round in
This year they have worked hard on those greens. Such great shape already but tough to make outs due to minor breaks hard to read .. Keep up great work
Great value
Starter allowed our twosome out ahead of a walking threesome. We had a great round with what seemed like nobody ahead of or behind us. Much appreciated.
Survived 18
Any day to be golfing in mid November is a bonus. Course was in got shape, even for this time of year.
There we're a few soggy areas but starter had warned us before teeing off.
Busy day on course but we still were through in just over 4 hours.
needs Work
Course layout is good nice change from front 9 to back 9 ie park type to links style. Course very wet lots of standing water and we have not had any rain for three days. The greens are very good but were a little slow due to being very wet.
Best Fall Golf
Greens are in excellent conditions for this time of the year...actually the whole course is very good shape.
Great value for your money for this time of the year..will return again weather permitting
Thanks very much for your nice review! Please come back while you still can and enjoy great rates!

first timer
it was a fun course, good value . very surprised the size of the clubhouse, quite small.
Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again.
Challenging design but poor conditions
Was expecting a lot more from this golf course considering their regular rate to play isn't low by any means.
The course design is good and challenging for all levels of play but the conditions were very poor. Tee boxes not even close to level. It feels like your hitting above below the ball with your feet scrambled every hit. Also, there is no grass to hit from? The tees were like they were balding.... No grass to hit on.
Fairways were in decent playing conditions and I will give them a thumbs up on the greens. There were extremely soft but still managed to play relatively fast while they maintained in fairly good condition.
The pace of play also was not to be enjoyed. The Marshall was around once all round(good and bad lol). 95 percent of shots you would have to wait and wait to take due to course back up. There was no one starting the course so everyone was playing right up behind each other. I will fall in love with courses when they space out their tee times and stick to them. Makes for a much better round.
People looking for the balls in the woods for excessive periods over and over causing back ups. If the ball finds the woods it probably wants to stay there.
Overall I think this course needs some serious greens keeping overhaul to make this a desirable place to play over and over. With the design I think this would be a great course. I've played courses for 30 dollars in much better condition.
Thank you for your review and feedback about your experience at the course! Sorry to hear you had a frustrating round with the pace of play! Be sure to book your next tee time through our website for the best rates.
Excellent course
Very good golf course with excellent value. Green is great, beautiful fairway with narrow holes and wide holes. I really recommend to other golfer.
Thank you for the nice 5 star review! So glad you enjoy the course and we hope to see you soon!
Great course
This is the best overall value in Barrie and surrounding areas. If had the length and just enough challenges. Greens are modest and nothing too tricky. No clubhouse but who cares when you are there just to golf.
Thanks for the nice review! We're so glad you think it is the best value in the city! We hope you keep coming back!
Good Round
Course was a bit sloppy but we have had a lot of recent rain...Sand traps were under water.
For the conditions and the lack of facilities, it is a little over priced.
Thank you for the feedback about the course, we do offer great tee time specials online so be sure to visit our website! We hope you give us another shot.
HH
One of the best courses in the metro area. Hard to walk because of the distance between holes.
Thanks for the nice 5 star review! Hope to see you again.
tranquility
This course is beautiful..peaceful and challenging...it is very easy to miss targets and mindfulness is a must with many shots...I was one with my game...a perfect day and venue
We're so glad you had a perfect day at the course! Hope to see you again soon!
Pricing and Conditions
I became quite disappointed from the moment that I entered the club house. I booked a round on Golf Now.
$ 15.00 was taken immediately off of my credit card.
Golf Now's site showed that there was a balance of $ 110 left to pay at the course.
We booked a threesome and wanted to each hit a small bucket of ball.
A small bucket of balls cost $ 5.00 ( tax included )
I thought that I would be owing $ 125.00 in total.
To my surprise, I was told that the balance was $ 140.00
An extra $ 15.00
When I questioned the lad at the front desk, he told me that taxes were owed on the Green Fees.
I have booked with Golf Now for several years and I have booked under these circumstances before
The balance owing shown on the Golf Now website has always been the final balance.
Very disappointed in their handling of the transaction.
As far as the course goes, the Greens on the front nine were in very good shape.
The greens on the back were not as good. Putting through small ruts which caused the ball to go off line.
The 15th fairway was like hitting off concrete.
I live local to this course and have played this course many times. This was the worst condition that I have seen the greens on the back nine.
The price that they are asking is far too high for the present conditions.
We're sorry to hear there was some confusion with the bill. We have changed up the billing process and this is the first year we have done it. You pay 5% of the greens fee online, the other 95% and tax are both due at the course. With the extra fee of the range balls, the total was most likely accurate. Sorry for the confusion! We hope you come back again, please email me directly with any questions.

Diversity
The difference between the two nines make the course. The greens are large and some you have to place your approach shot in a certain area. Some of the greens are fairly flat and the rest are very well contoured. A challenge for sure. The course is a combination of the old and classic course combined with links style. The wind has a great influence on play and bunkers are placed in strategic locations. The designers have taken a tip from the PGA and have made a risk and reward par 4 that is reachable with your tee shot.
AN EXPERIENCE WELL WORTH THE GREAT DEAL.
Thank you Jay(head pro) for the great game!
Thanks for your review and feedback about the course! We hope to see you again.
