Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

Tough Greens
Need to place your shot in the right section of the undulating greens to score well
Great value just north of Barrie
My rating is a bit harsh, only because their facilities are lacking. That said, Heritage Hills offers a good round of golf for a good price. The course starts off with 6 holes through forested grounds, then opens up into "links style" holes which cross a deep ravine four times. I played the blue tees, from which the course is just under 6,400 yards. Greens undulate quite a bit. Practice facilities are pretty good, too.
Nice Course
Good layout-greens and tees in good shape-fairways just ok-enjoyed playing here.
great course
fantastic day of golfing as a single. Friendly staff. The course had very few groups playing and I played 18 in 2hrs 22min. Fairways and greens were in great condition. I love the course architecture. I played from the blues and the slope rating is bang on.
Great course!! Going back soon
Huge greens. Lots of variety front nine is well shaded but back nine opens right up to a more links style course. Lots of fun other then slow couple in front of us but still had a great time.
This course needs work
Course needs some work......I got on for 45$ with cart but that's all I would pay for it. Facilities are poor.Clubhouse looks like what you would see in a trailer park....
Good Value
Course conditions have improved over the years. Greens were in good conditions, fairways so-so. Cart paths need improving
appealing look beverage handicapped
The course is very nice, it was a little wet in that the sand traps were lakes and don't need avoiding. The beverage girl never went around even though the staff answered me that she would be.
Overall the course is easy on the eyes and enjoyable. Relax and bring some water.
Another day at Heritage Hills
Just had a great round at Heritage Hills - despite being slowed down by play in front of us (busy day), the course played very well - mix of tighter par 4's on the front 9 with a great wide open links-style back 9 and a few iconic par 3's.
Great course
The course is excellent and well maintained. Rain halted our play and we waited over 1.5 hrs to play and also waited as rain halted the start. Great greens and challenging approach.
Great course for value
No food or beverage cart, would have been nice to know before we tee off.
Booked on GolfNOW-great value
As a once a week player, the course is a great test. The fairways are fairly good to hit off and the greens are moderately fast reasonably true. Most of your clubs will get a chance to be swung. The front nine is a little tight and the back nine is open. While you can walk this course, there several holes on the front nine that require a substantial uphill hike. I am not sure it is worth the regular rate, but it is my favourite golfnow deal.
Good comination of hole designs
the first 7 holes are tight and tree lined and then the course opens up with the more links style holes and fairly wide open. Some challenging holes going back and forth over ravine. first time playing, it was difficult to know how far off tee to ravine sometimes (a little sign would have been helpful). Condition of course was good and greens were really nice and held shots. Staff was amazing! one group let us through so we were done in under 4 hours. Still a little pricy for Barrie.
Great value
Worth the drive just for the cordiality of the entire staff, tremendous value for your dollar and a very nice track that will challenge any mid-handicapper! The fall colours were just an added bonus!
Very scenic course
Although the course is quite nice the weather conditions
left it waterlogged on some fairways and tee off areas.
So after weekend rain the course was still very wet.
Greens in great shape
Greens were in great shape all day running fast and true even with the rain over the past couple days. Course was in great shape overall, and well maintained
Loved this course.
Great layout and wonderful conditioning. Heritage Hills was a good test of golf. We hit it on a sunny day and the fall colours were spectacular. Views around the course were beautiful. Can't wait to go back!
Nice links course. Nice greens
Very nice golf course. All Greens were challenging and fun. Lots of slopes. First hole is cart path only and wet. 2/3 of the course is links styles. Nice views. Greens were true and running about 9. Greens were well protected. I would not hesitate to recommend to course.
Lots of trouble
Between long rough and lots of trees, it was easy to find trouble but not so easy to find your ball. Greens were excellent but large and challenging to read. This would not be one of my favourite courses to play but for those who are younger and hit it straight it would be good to play from the men's or the back tees.
Good Value
great value for $28.00. Traps were unplayable because of rains but rest of course in good shape.
