Great views
Great course with fantastic vistas.
The course is fun to play, the holes are either going up hill or down hill.
the extremely challenging factor is the greens, somehow they rest on tilted plans so it is impossible to read them visually.
Nice and challenging course, pace was very rushed.
This is the second time we played at the North Course. Overall the course is challenging and fun, some of the layout is difficult and demands a nice drive off the tee (from blue/green).
For beginners, the red/white tee are much more forgiving, therefore you will not be intimidated.
We teed off at 7:39am, however we find that the course was already very busy. We kept our pace to about half a hole to the group in front of us, but we felt extremely rushed. One of the reason was because the proshop decides to send out a two some behind us, i think that was very inconsiderate. The twosome were right behind our tail and on some holes, they hit approximately 10 yards to the green when we were still putting. As much as we enjoy playing this course, we did not get a chance to enjoy it at all.
I wish the course can pace out each group a bit better, instead of squeezing in more and more golfers, at the end of the day, everyone is frustrated and no one gets to enjoy the round.
Great views
Excellent course with great scenery. This is quite challenging and perfect for anyone looking to work on their sand play. Greens are very fast and challenging to read. Conditions were excellent. Pace was a bit slower than we would have liked, but pretty much as you would expect for a Sunday afternoon.
take the right size bite, too much could choke not for beginners
Arrived at the course ahead of tee time, pleasantly greeted at bag drop, given directions to pro shop and where carts were parked with bags. Well organized with two different courses. Enough staff so no scrambling. checkin fast. Played north course first time. started on time. Not a flat course this one very scenic cut through hilly farm land with many ups and downs. All tees have forced carries to fairways that finding level flat space difficult.. Know your level of play or you will be beat up bad.by playing the wrong set of tees. Good mix of right left doglegs to elevated well trapped greens which in most part had good sand. Good mix of 4's,5' and 3's. Yardage book would have been nice to help with distances on forced carries ad hazards. Greens were fast, rolling and quite varied in shapes, sizes and alignments. First cut of rough thick but playable, second hasn't seen a rough cut mower for a while and was in my opinion too long for mid to high handicapp golfers. It also slowed pace of play as balls would settle down out of sight quite often. Needing good tracking and many pairs of eyes sometimes to locate. As other reviews have stated you will walk a lot between cart paths and green complexes up and down from the many elevation changes which is very true. Our threesome thoroughly enjoyed playing this course, it was spectacular. They key was playing from the correct tee boxes for our abilities in fact we adjusted during our round, if we hadn't the course would not get a good review. It can be a great enjoyable round or a miserable one, the golfers choice.
Great Course
First time playing and it was a great golf course. Played the North...Very challenging but playable. Blue tees are a solid yardage. Panoramic scenic views and I would say comparable to my favourite course copper creek. The bunkers however need new sand. Some shots with high ridges on fairway bunkers were next to impossible as the sand was very hard and you couldn't dig. Overall great value and would absolutely play again but hope the sand conditions are better as trust me you will be in the sand... quite possibly a lot
Will be back
Have not played the North course in about 4 years, felt it was getting too hard, so stuck with the South. Could not get the South today so had to go with the North and I am glad I did. The North is a challenge but if you pick the right tees then it can be fun. Everything was great and I have changed my mind and will try to get back out on the North course again this year. I realize everything on the course is not perfect but can accept the little imperfections, with the rates they are now charging it is well worth the play. I do not have a GPS or Bushnell so the only thing i would like to see changed is a bit better marking on the course to let me know the yardage without having to hunt it out. All in all thoroughly enjoyed the round.
Not worth a return trip
Played the North Course at Bond Head for the first time. The layout is somewhat challenging due to the many elevation changes and would be fun if it were not for the excessively slow play (a 5 and half hour round is unacceptable). In addition, the bunkers were about the worst we have encountered ... there is virtually no sand and it appears they have not been tended for a considerable time. I certainly expected better of this course. The South Course looked interesting but I doubt we will be back.
Great course
Hi,
Played north course, very challenging would highly recommend.
Disappointed.
We played a foursome and found the pace of play to be average. The course is advertised as having some elevation, but this is not true. We found that the elevations are extreme. Even around the greens when you leave the cart you are always walking up or down a hill and no easy access point. This is very hard for someone with a medical problem. One person in our party had to quit after five holes. The Marshall said a man behind us quit after four holes. There are no yardage stakes (only small plaques which you cannot see) or books when we asked at the pro shop. With the elevation changes, many of the holes have blind shots. Going to the tee boxes was sometimes difficult to find which tee was yours as they can be up a hill and not visible from cart path. Greens where in good shape, but very fast and very rolling. Sand bunkers where for the most part poor, and some without rakes. Overall we did not enjoy the course and felt the elevation changes were misrepresented. We have played Club Link courses before, and found this not up to their standards.
Very slow pace of play !!!
I have had a few slow rounds at Bond head but nothing like today. Took us 5 1/2 hours and we were only a 2 some. Not one Marshall on the course and it this wasn't the first time. Great course to play though
long uphill forced carries
Long uphill forced carries make this course too challenging. Further there are many hikes up to the green even when you eventually get there. Too hard physically.
Very little sand in the bunkers. A lot of pebbles and rock.
Even at the bargain price, I would not go again.
Target golf disappointed
Clublink has not figured out how to run a public play course. The GPS have been taken out of the carts, the course map on the card is very difficult to read and has no yardage, many holes had no 150 stakes and no holes had 200 or 100 yard stakes. There were plaques - but you can't see plaques from a distance. All this on a course that requires precision. When I completed my round I was told about the guide, yet not one of the 3 employees I voiced my concern to prior to the round let me know one existed. One employee even told me that I should buy a GPS!
The course itself is a little tricked up. Loads of bunkers in landing areas and very undulating greens with ltitle safety to be found. A first time player is likely to find this course vet frustrating.
Thank you very much for taking the time to speak with us and write this review. We appreciate your feedback and bringing this to our attention. I'm happy to say that in the few days since you played, my Superintendent has already implemented a yardage program with replaced 150 yard markers and new posts at the 200 yard mark. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Bond Head North
Course is challenging and beautiful as always.
Bunkers still need sand, they are like concrete and nearly unplayable.
Challenging! Check your ego but enjoy.
Course was in fantastic shape, and everything had a private high end feel! Great day! A few holes were a little confusing with only scorecard to look at, as there are several blind shots required on north course. More than 150 markers might help for reference. Greens were fun to try and figure out! A very fun round of golf.
Bond head north
As a beginner golfer is was very challenging to play the North. Course was very well manicured and I enjoyed the round. Greens were pretty quick, probably rolled an 11 and pin placements were tough but overall good round! One thing I would recommend is a lower price point.
