Club at Bond Head - North

the north course is very hilly and basically need your "A" game to play well.elevated greens taken to a different level. The staff was friendly and help full. I will play and recommend this course to all but make sure your putter is working....

first time playing wish weather was better but enjoyed the course the views one of the better course`s I've played and have play a lot will be coming back

This course is one of the best courses north of TO. If you want a challenge, play the north course. I'd go back anytime

This is a beautiful course and despite out hot dry summer it's in good shape. The pace of play was good and saw the marshal a few times on the course (which is rare midweek). Overall loved it, a word of caution even with a cart there was still a lot of walking as the cart paths don't come too close to some of the tees/ greens. Also, would not recommend for beginners as it is a more difficult and unforgiving, especially around the greens.

Scenery is top notch, great elevations and view....

First time I've played this course. Lots of elevation changes and traps; rough thick and lush; fescue; greens fast. Nice looking clubhouse; didn't get a chance to try their beverage/dining facilities. Staff very nice. High-end course.

A tough test, you will enjoy this course if you can control your ball and make shots. You need to be able to drive at least 200 yards in the air to play several of the holes. Many of the approach shots are near impossible if you can't spin the ball. Bunkers guard just about every green and are strategically placed on the fairway. I really enjoyed this course but would not recommend for the 100+ Players.

Bunkers: I've collected more sand from towels after a day on the beach. If you're going to lay a course out to have very challenging bunkers, at least have enough sand in it to make for a real bunker shot. This was like hitting off a wooden deck with a fine layer of sand.

Pin Placement: Most pins were tucked behind bunkers. One or two on a course, OK. But basically every chance they had to make the pin placement difficult, they did.

Layout: Generally speaking, the elevation changes were drastic on many holes. Interesting - yes. But enjoyable to play? Not really. I like the challenge of dealing with elevation changes on courses when it means clubbing up or down one. But this was annoying. Personally, I prefer less extreme altitude changes and less frequent.

Condition: Considering how little rain, it was quite well kept. Rough was thick and challenging and fairways were nice. Some tee boxes were re-sodded and have rolled on grass. This felt a bit odd but at least they are trying to keep up the conditions of the course.

Staff: OK. We were told to hurry up, but we were sandwiched between several two-somes. The ones in front, we were still waiting to tee off on every hole, and the ones behind were quick and right up on us most of the time.

Pace: Was smooth enough considering how difficult the course is. I expect that if you are unlucky enough to be behind some poor golfers, you will be in for a long, long round.

Overall: In my opinion, a poorly designed course who's only real flaw apart from the design is the lack of sand in bunkers and poor variety of pin placement difficulty.

Bond head has always been a great track at that price you're deals are the best in town!

Played Bond Head North and it was a very enjoyable round. The course is difficult with undulating greens and frequent elevation changes which challenge you to select the right club. Plenty of bunkers but luckily I was only in 1 all day. The pace of play was very good with no wait times. Basically played at our own pace but certainly weren't slow.

The course was in good shape.

Would definitely play this again.

Course always plays long. Greens in great shape and were rolling well and quick. Lots of bunkers but they had good sand and were fair to get out of. Lots of wind the day we played and that made club selection difficult in the upper part of the mountain. Plays much longer then it looks.

Played the north course the other day. It's been a long time since I was truly impressed by the layout of a course in Ontario. Great track. Exery hole was impressive and interesting. You need to be a real shot maker. Nothing is flat on this course. A pure challenge. I will be back as soon as I can. It's officially in my top 5 favourites!!! Enjoy

Played this course earlier this summer and had to give it another go. Every hole on this well kept and challenging course is a new adventure. Friendly and professional staff, first class amenities. If you're looking for a sleepy round - pass / but if your looking for a beautiful layout and a fair but interesting test - this is for you.

This course is in great condition especially since it's been very hot and dry so far this year. Very tough course if you can't put the ball exactly where you want to off the drive and the elevation changes make this course very difficult if you are not used to playing with that challenge.

Overall great course if you're looking for a challenge.

Like the layout, challenging off the tee from the back! Many elevated approach can be difficult to judge! Good course!

Bond Head North is a very challenging yet fun course to play! I recommend you play from the white tee if you are a beginner or intermediate player. Playing from blue/green/golden is too tough. Overall, a tremendous course to play.

Staff wasn't very friendly and I over heard them say that "golf now guys are all the same" when all I had asked was where I get my cart key as they don't tell you anything and there isn't any sign so you wouldn't know. Apparently you have to wait for your tee time to get your cart key, this in not obvious. To the staff, please understand that golf now users are not to blame for your course using golf now to find players, it is up to you to educate those players. Have a problem with it? take it up with management, don't take it out on the golfers who are just trying to enjoy a nice course.

This course on the Northside will challenge you mentally / emotionally it's that great , .. If u try this course for the 1st time be aware that it's that challenging for a starter golfer ( 1st timer ) .. But once u play it & had an experience with all the highs/ lows of course lay out ' you'd want to go back & play it again & really try to score ' be smart with yur drives & second shots & the rest it's quite fun .. We always go back here a few times a year & we always look forward playin . Bag drop off felllows old & young very welcoming at all times .. Food at the bistro very good .. A must play course but it will eat yur game if yur not consistent .. Have fun ' yoga helps wit angst durin' BREATHE

Cant say enough good things about the North Course. Its a challenging course with major slope change that tests every facet of your game. The course is always in excellent shape and has beautiful views of the local landscape. Theres so many different features on this course whether its greens, bunkering, slope or sight lines. I've played many of the top courses in Ontario and this stands right up there with the best of them. Highly recommended for a 10 or less handicap who wants a good test.
