Club at Bond Head - North

Greens and layout were challenging. Bunkers were worse than the most inexpensive municipal courses (not because its october…hard packed not groomed weeds growing in all of the traps) fairways were nice but a lot of standing water despite no rain in weeks. Numerous tee boxes were unable to get a tee in the ground. Broke 3 trying to put them in. Lastly bully marshall was friendly enough but approaching after 3rd and again at 7th hole…unnecessary. By 7th hole we were 13 min/hole until 3/4 in our party messed up drives requiring re tees on the 8th hole. Finished 9 in 4hrs 15. Last 9 holes were waiting for foursome ahead almost every shot…finished in 4:30. Overall underwhelmed for 1 hr outside of gta and a $93 fee. Oh. Our server was nice in the restaurant. Please listen to your staff and order some cider!!

The starter was not available to send us out. We had to go into pro shop to advise that we did not have a key for the golf cart.

We were not provided with a score card by starter. We had to request one from the marshal on the course

Requires good shot management and a detailed course layout on the scorecard would be super helpful for ‘first timers’!

Several bunkers had very little sand in them to take a shot. If you’re going to have pot bunkers it would be nice to have sand. The other half were under construction. Youth tournament on the other course left no putting green and no driving range. Could not even drive our cart to get our clubs as the staff were afraid of us hitting the youth. Give me a break. Not a great first impression at all. Good luck but I don’t see myself playing here again. Too many good courses to play in the same area. Just did not enjoy the course and how it played.

Staff only gave preference treatment to different members. They should have shuttle service or let customers take the cart to get their golf stuffs in stead of asking them to bring it down from parking lot However when asked the staff to help taking the cart to the car to get stuffs, they refused to do so while some members were treated differently. You need to consider folks that are seniors.

I love playing this golf course always but I couldn't believe yesterday August 07, 2023 that nobody say anything about that wasn't a refreshment cart in the course, if they knew they should have say something at the proshop when I check in and I would have buy some drinks for the 18 hole at the clubhouse but nobody say anything and I played with my friends in the North Course which is very far from the club house with anything to drink and we thought its ok at least in the half way Cafeteria we can stop and buy something but the halfway Cafeteria was also closed and like I said the main clubhouse it's to far to stop playing and go and get something.
