Golfer Reviews
North Course
North Course was in great condition for tee boxes to greens.
The beverage cart armed to arrive in a timely fashion.
Good test for any skill level, although I believe the North to be a little more challenging than the South course.
Off topic, the half way house makes a great hot dog !!!
Not much Improvement
Not much improvement from last year. I figured it couldn’t get any worse. It is so disappointing and not worth the money. Course is well below average condition with bunkers that have still not been maintained.. This course gets a 3/10 IMO.
North Course
Awesome 18 holes from tees to greens.
Challenging design, fantastic greens.
There are tee decks for every skill set.
Beverage cart was timely and pace of play was decent . 4h35m
Simply unimpressed
Played north course. Conditions below average, sand especially was awful.
Service was poor. Staff was reluctant to even put a hot dog on bbq.
Half way house closed “wasn’t very busy so we closed the halfway house”
If you’re going to charge full price for golf you better have full service and decent conditions.
Expensive for what you get.
Nice course
Good value, fast greens, interesting holes. Joined a twosome and we has a good round, not held up or being pushed. My only disappointment was the sand traps, they were not the best, inconsistent, unmaintained hard packed and hardly any sand in some places. I want to try the South course next but I would play the North again.
Great to be back!
I played Bondhead a lot when it first opened many moons ago; and it was one of the greatest values in golf. Been to several events there and they were always top notch as well.
I hadn’t played there in 5-7 years prior; I still enjoy the range of difficulty options from the tee blocks. The green speeds are still amazing… a lot of roll out, challenging to get the pace with all the undulation on ample sized greens.
It looks like there is a bit of damage on very small patches of some greens. They were probably ‘punched’ 7-10 prior to when i played in early july but it wasn’t an issue.
I beat Nigel the starter in a putting contest prior to tee off and he says I won a year long membership, just need to cash that in at the pro shop :p Great way to set the tone for a great round (even though i 3 putted the first green for a double).
Fuzzy
I’m played the North it’s all up hill so be prepared. Would never walk the back. Challenging for sure. Greens were not in great condition on some holes and the sand overall was not good at all and needs work. On its way back to what it was.
Strong Test from the Proper Tees
Challenging holes and a good test! Would recommend if you’re just learning or new to the game, might not be a good great place to play. If you decide to play this course…bring lots of balls!
