Seen it in better shape
Fairways were firm to hard pan and spotty, some tee boxes in awful condition, some recently aerated, bunkers thin and poorly maintained, but the greens were in great shape, firm but rolling true. Lack of rain has taken a toll as previous rounds this year have provided much better overall conditions.
Good Day at Golf
Enjoyed the golf on Hidden Lake me course. It clear day and the fellow golfers were friendly. Some of the fairways need more watering. The greens were good..
The course is in great shape even with the heat
The course was in great shape and I took us 4:10 minutes to finish.

New Course mid summer
Overall, course was in good shape. Tee boxes were a little rough (I’m assuming due to high traffic)
Would definitely play again
Front nine was pretty beat up ...... greens were Ok but fairways & tee boxes were rough ...... and anything not in the fairway was dead grass / hard packed dirt ...... back nine was much better ...... group ahead was brutally slow, should have been a 3.5 hour round without any rush and took 4:25 .......... value for what was paid was "Ok" but basically won't play here again this year
good course / can be better maintained
I enjoy playing the HLN course but this year I noticed tee boxes and fairways are in worse shape than previous years. First hole is one of the worst. There is barely any grass left. Also, the starter was overly instructional in telling us how to play about 9 holes before we teed off in a long lecture - he took a long time to tell us things like... "on #7 do not cut corners.. On #8, do this.. do that.. " and we've all played here before. I thought that was friendly but unnecessary.
Course extremely dry
Course in terrible shape. Dry and patchy. Tees were bad. It’s too bad because the layout is good but worst condition I’ve ever seen it.
Dry but fun
It was a bit on the dry side but its hard to find a course that hasn't been for the last couple of weeks. But that's just golf. I love the layout of this course and the way it makes you think your way around. Greens were true and quick. Clubhouse staff was friendly and pace of play was fine for a weekend.
