Twilight Tuesday
We booked a twosome for 5:50 hoping to get in 18 holes. The course is in great shape considering the dry summer so far. The layout is very fair if you play from the right tees. All was great except for the pace of play. There were no marshals policing the groups in front of us to keep a steady pace. We only managed to finish 15 holes and the last one was in the dark. Other than that, great course, staff and value.
Pricing frustrating
We did get a decent rate by booking online. However, very frustrating that prices are very different depending on how you booked (online, golfnow, phone the course). Too much work to check multiple sources.
Dry conditions
The course was quite dry today. Some tee decks were toasted. I know it’s been hot so understandable. But it’s kind of crazy here in Canada we get a few months of good golf weather and we can’t keep the courses lush for even that! Haha anyhow give that grass a drink club link!!!
Great day, great course, great people.
The course was in great condition and the amenities are awesome. What made the course was the great people working. Always helpful, always smiling. Will be back again soon.
Very Disappointed.
I played the new course and had high hopes being that it was a clublink course and fairly well reviewed, but my experience was highly disappointing.
1. I had booked on their website two days prior and when I arrived at the course they didn’t have me in the system. Not a big issue, but this has never happened to me at a course before. The lady working at the pro shop was great and quickly solved the issue.
2. Carts are in horrible condition: broken straps, dirty, peeling paint, laggy, and just generally felt that all of them were on their last legs. My 1st cart had a broken strap and I found that my replacement cart had a flat tire at the back while on the 2nd hole. Which was a nice surprise.
3. Fairways are hard as a rock and some holes have more brown grass than green grass.
4. No cart girl in sight, which for the price your paying is very odd.
5. Sand traps that are hard as a rock and feel like dirt more than sand.
I’ve had much better experiences playing at Municipal courses than this course. Go to Kings Forest or Willow Valley and see how those city owned courses run circles around this one.
Will probably never be back, and neither should you.
Disappointed for the cost
The golf course was mediocre at best. The fairways were burnt and the greens had any hills on them. There was no food/beverage cart circulating on the 18 holes we played. Would not play again or recommend to a friend.
