The round I paid for included a cart however due to rain the previous day, the staff weren’t allowing any power carts so we had to walk.
Stunning
Great course overall if you are an intermediate golfer. Course was well maintained, challenging and very enjoyable to play at. Would definitely play here again.
Absolutely disgraceful course condition
The “new” course at Hidden Lake was in disgraceful condition when we played it Sept 7 2021. It appears there has been zero maintenance performed on the course. The tee decks are in pitiful condition, very little grass and obviously no attempt to fill divots. The fairways are dry and in spots bare. What grass there is has been mowed in a haphazard manner. The bunkers are like a construction yard with hard packed concrete. They have obviously been ignored by the course maintenance crew for a long time. The greens are inconsistent, pock marked badly cut.
Considering the excellent condition of most other courses in Southern Ontario this is a definite miss. Clublink should be ashamed.
Good value
I played the new course later in the day and really enjoyed the layout. The greens were soft but fairly quick. Definitely a walkable course the Tess are mostly close to the greens. The staff was helpful and friendly
Great options lousy bunkers
Everything was good except the bunkers.
Appreciate no rakes but it was as if they had not been raked all season
Good course
The greens were in good shape and I have always liked the layout. One negative was no rakes for bunkers ( I know with covid, but flags did not have mechanism for retrieving the ball.??? )
Grass clippings
First cut of rough was covered in grass clipping making it difficult to find a ball that just rolled through the fairway. It hasn't rained in days so not sure why cutting would be so much and cuttings wouldn't be mulched. The rest of the experience was great.
A comfortable course
A course that is not too challenging and quite enjoyable .
One of my favorites in the area.
Great course. I am so glad they don’t cram the tee times and the pace of play was exactly 4 hours. Not like 6 hours on some of the other courses in the area.
