Great golf course amongst the houses
I love golfing here as it feels like golfing in many Florida and Texas courses that back on to neighborhoods.
The only poor thing is the sand traps there is not a lot of sand and what’s there is not great quality almost like dirt than sand . But you stay out of them then the rest of the course is in great condition, greens are good and fast .
Slow play
The pace of play was slow.
There were several 2-somes and 3-somes in front of us that held up the pace of play; often spending a lot of time looking for balls as well as not playing "ready golf"
Very nice course, came on the wrong day.
This course was well-maintained, challenging but fair. I would definitely come back again, just not on a Tuesday because if you get stuck behind the women's league, your 4 hour round will be closer to 5.
Long time, will be back
Course is short, but lots of doglegs keep it challenging. Tee blocks and greens in good shape, but sand traps very poor. A dusty brown sand, with lots of stones throughout. Minimal sand, so hard to play typical bunker shots. All in all I will return. Pace of play was typical at about 4:15.
Open course with many challenges
I always enjoy my round and the company
The course is long enough to challenge your drive and short enough to have a few pars
For an open fairway I’m always surprised how I loose my ball in the water or end up in a sand trap
I look forward to enjoying many more years golfing at Millcroft
Millcroft
Course is too expensive. Had to wait almost 20 minutes behind my tee time because people I got paired with weren’t on time. Pace of play could have been faster. Course conditions were good. Greens were little slow but taken care of. Bunkers were very hard not enough sand and too many rocks inside. If anyone played out of a bunker you had to clear almost a 20 yard area or you could be hit with rocks. Overall okay experience. Honestly wouldn’t be my first choice course if playing in Burlington but if needed a tee time would consider playing there.
Pleasant well kept course
First time here in 30 years. Layout is good, opportunity there to use irons due to many doglegs. Fairways and greens in very good shape. Unfortunately there are many traps throughout the course and from what I could see they all require sand. The minimal amount in the traps along with lots of stones, makes playing out of them a challenge. You can’t hit traditional sand shots, you are required to rather lift your shots clean, which is definitely not practical in green side traps. The course is short, even from the blues which are roughly 5700 yards. Pace of play was slightly slow at 4:30-4:45 for the round. Think I saw a Marshall on the 4th or 5th hole. All in all I would give it another go possibly this year or next.
