Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Easy birdie putt Photo submitted by ttaxmaster on 06/12/2014
Pace of play
Round was 4 1/2 hours but weather was great and maybe that’s why but overall course was in decent shape
Great greens
Greens were in excellent shape. Putted true with good speed, making being below the hole a premium.
MOst of the course in great shape~
Had a great round - course was in great shape, greens played well.
They are missing a bridge which was washed out by the rain so play started on 9, but that was the only issue that day. Good pace through the day.
Kicked off of course??????
We had 15 minutes left of light and the marshal drove around and told us the course was closed. I have NEVER been told the course was closed unless there was lighting or some other hazard. My assumption is they had some place to be. I will never play this course again.
Slow play, too many singles and twosomes
Great value, good shape but slow play as they don’t pair up people
Metroplex Masterpiece
No other course in the area is in better condition. The entire course was bright green without a brown blemish. First cut from the fairways was a bit tall but being mowed the day I played. Greens were flawless, firm and fast. Course layout offers tons of variety which promotes repeatable play. Putting greens and range conveniently located. Pace of play was good. Staff very friendly and refreshment cart appeared frequently. One unique feature that I didn’t care for: I don’t recall many elevated tee boxes but seems like there were plenty of elevated greens so additional length needed to be considered for the approach shot. Altogether, this is a superior course and I suggest you play it now! Thanks to golfnow.com for creating great value with this course.
Course really getting dry. Greens are still in good shape but fairways turning brown. Sand traps inconsistent too much sand in some no sand in others
Perfect greens
The course was in great shape. Fairways were nicely cut, rough was lush for this time of year, and the greens rolled quick and true. Several greens had the look of Open courses, but they were still receptive and smooth. Only complaint was the lack of on course water/or beverage cart on the back nine. Sub 4hr round.
fairway & T-Boxes were good shape. Greens were rough from Airating. Around greens were wet from watering.
Always fun
Great course layout; challenging greens. Not incredibly fast but every putt demands your attention. Tee shots are inviting with plenty of landing areas but ultimately greens are the challenge.
Slow Sunday round
Had not been to a Twin Creeks for about a year.
Booked a 7 am tee time early in the week . Then got a call from golf now that had to reschedule to 8 am. Well that turned out to be a bad move. Seems that there us a large Sunday group that goes out on Sunday morning and course allows 5 somes. When I said something to a marshall he said that this occurs frequently with some of the regulars. Front 9 was hit and wait for 2.5 hours. There is no rest room on the front 9 so one player has to back track to #15. The back 9 went a little quicker however we never saw a cart girl on a day when the temp was over 100.
Course conditions were very good and layout was challenging. I would just recommend that you call the course before booking and check about those Sunday groups.
Good day
Excellent course conditions and layout, pace 3:30 hrs,, really a hot day , the ball was flying really good and greens were fast.
Too hot
Teed off at 9:00 and we were sweating by 10:00. Fairways were in good shape, bunkers need to be blown up and redone, and greens rolled true but were a bit too slow for my liking. This course is just hit or miss and has been that way for years now. I do like the white tees distances for us seniors. Price is decent!
Twin Creeks
Course was in good condition for the summer heat. Greens were firm and fast but held well with a well-placed shot. Several senior foursomes were holding up pace of play ..... late morning tea time...11:45.
Average course
Reviews were really good. Did not do enough research. It's OK. 4hr 45 minute round on a Saturday may not be a problem for everyone but it takes the fun out of it for us. Probably will not spend the money to go back to this very ho hum course. Marshall's and cart girls were outstanding!
