Banty's Roost Golf and Country Club - Blue/White

I've played this course for years and it was a 7/10 before... now 3/10 under the new ownership. The tee boxes are like gravel pits, gouges and lumps galore... the greens are horrible... the idiot that mowed the greens set the blade too low and left swaths of exposed earth on many greens.

The new ownership is not keeping up the course,,, clearly the plan here is too milk this until development approval is granted by the city so they can build condos... as was done in Castlemore...

Typical of what happens when the original owners are bought out and the "new" Bramptonians take over...

I'm not playing here again.

this course is absolutely terrible and the people that own this place are the cheapest and sketchiest people on the planet!!!!! they dont spend any money on the course and they are so uneducated about golf management, thats why the owner has to go around checking everyone’s receipts in the middle of their round! instead of having a marshal to do (too cheap to pay someone to do it) that before the round makes no sense at all.... they dont clean any of the carts and treat the staff like absolute garbage poor girl in the proshop got yelled at by owner for no reason he looks like an piece of work and i wouldnt give them a cent more of my money.... id rather do anything else than golf at this course ever again... place looks disgusting all the time and they should just burn this course to the ground before these owners ruin it more than they already have! tell the owner he should stick to running strip clubs rather than golf courses

This is probably the worst course I’ve ever played. I played on Tuesday and was told to play white to red. Played the white course with no problems but once it was time to make the turn that’s when it when the disaster started. There was a tournament going off red and we were waiting on the red tee for 25 minutes. The guy in the pro shop was clueless and had absolutely no idea what was going on. Apparently he was the course pro let’s just say there was no way he was a course pro because he didn’t even know how to read the tee sheet and when I asked his name he refused to give it. I later found out through talking to a member his name was Anil. I also asked why the course was in such poor condition and the members stated that the owners put no money into the course and that the superintendent is very qualified but can’t do much with no money to spend in turf care. These owners also own parkshore which is also a complete joke so it seems like these owners need to get out of the golf industry.

I have to say this is the worst course I have ever played. I have played all over Ontario and I would never go back. I have even played university golf and have never seem anything like this course. We had a tee time which started on time on the white course. After 9 holes we were to play the back 9 on the red course. Well that didnt happend. There was a tournament of 7 groups which wasn't clearly planned for as there was a backup of 4 teams waiting to tee at the red after our 9 finished. The tournament was playing the blue then the red so the people playing the white then red were waiting around or in the middle of a tournament. Several groups went to ask for a Marshall to figure out the backup and why people playing 18 don't all play the same courses. Marshall did not come around so we went inside and asked what was going on. Nobody seemed to know anything and nobody came to figure it out.. We ended up playing the blue course as nobody seemed to be going there.Overall, staff was very unprofessional and the course did not know how to book times and groups playing 18 vs 9.

the course is in rough shape, the owner is ignorant to staff and should not be allowed to talk to his subordinates like he does. There is no social distancing, the carts are dirty. this place should be shutdown

Hardly any dirt under the grass. Like hitting a ball off the cart path. greens were bad condition. Looks like no one cared about maintenance.

Even for a relatively cheap course, it’s not worth it.

- Greens haven’t been cut in days.

- Bunkers are cement.

- Yardage markers are up to 20 yards off actual yardage

- tee blocks are awful (some holes don’t even have them)

- barely any COVID protocol

Ok course if you’re showing up in jeans and a tee shirt and just want to hit blind shots through a cow pasture and are not keeping score.

Highly recommend looking elsewhere for a round!

Staff was not informative, made excuses gave no details like where to get the balls for the range,after I bought the token. I had to go back in and ask. Took over 30 minutes to get a cart ready for us and they were in terrible condition

Food cart had no food....except for the sandwich the cart person was eating as they drove away...

course greens, fairways and bunkers were in very poor condition. it looks like this course is struggling. I'm not a big fan of golf courses that have tee boxes side by side. It feels like people are always right beside you. the only good comment I can make was that the pace of play was good. probably because very few people play here..

Course in horrible shape. Greens are all beat up tee boxes are horrible, sand traps have never been maintained. This course charges way too much and has little to no covid protocol

The course outline is great and challenged specially for the white course. little frustrated for red course since easily cross with Blue course. The fairway maintenance need to be improved for both white and red course. Some of the green also need to be improved,

40$ for a cart or 20$ a person. It’s a complete rip. For 70$ a round id rather go to a way better course. Not worth the time or money. Plus the manager or whoever the guy is at the pro shop is a complete stain and should have been flushed.

Initially thought the course cost was a good deal, but after playing we realized why. Course was in poor shape. Slow play. Other courses have cup lfters to assist you taking your ball out of the cup (due to COVID. This one does not. Greens were just plain bad - rough and lots of brown patches. Constantly having to wait for players going in the opposite direction to play their balls out of our fairway. We played this course many many years ago and thought it would improve by now. Not so.

Horrible experience no markings on course people just walking and driving carts around lost. LOOKS LIKE IT USED TO BE NICE WHEN SOMEONE GAVE A CRAP. STAFF MEMBERS OUT FOR JOY RIDES IN GOLF CARTS DRIVING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU WHILE TEEING OFF, THEN GIVE ATTITUDE WHEN YOUR YELLING AT THEM WTH ARE YOU DOING, RESPONSE IS I WORK HERE WITH A DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS STAIR. THIS HIGHLIGHTS THE PROBLEMS WITH GOLFING IN THE GTA NOT EVEN THE STAFF KNOW THE RULES OR HAVE AND MANNERS OR RESPECT BUT EXPECT TO BE TREATED WITH THEM. BUILD SOME CONDOS HERE OR BURN IT TO THE GROUND WITH THE STAFF THERE WOULD BE MORE USEFUL THEN IT IS AS A GOLF COURSE
