Course is good value and in good shape.Staff is friendly and helpful. Like playing course.

Many golfers were waiting at the first tee box. However, the starter did not manage them well, but also Marshall did not know golf rule clearly.

Nice Course. Some tricky holes. Overall great place to start the season.

Based on the open spots on GolfNow, we thought it would be a fairly quick round. We arrived to find a 3 group backup on the first hole. With 3 nines we asked if we can tee off on on another nine. Nope, tournament on the others. It was a 5.5/hour round, waiting on every hole. Ridiculous. No marshal around to speak up slow groups.

And the greens were very slow. I've played there many times but won't go back by force.

Not a bad course for the money, could use a range for sure but otherwise a decent track. Conditions are good, greens ate well kept. Not a top notch course, but still decent. Scottish starter a great man, great talk with that gentleman and very friendly. Will play again.

Had an afternoon tee time and everything was on time; pace of play was very good even stopped after the front nine for a 10 minute break and still were in front of the group behind us. The fairways played well but only the greens were really slow and they were consistent on each hole. Definitely will be back this season.

The clubhouse staff/ starter were very friendly and professional, however our playing partners were severely reprimanded by the course marshal when they deviated from the cart path as they had not seen the sign to the contrary. I think he obviously relishes his position of "power" and treated them as naughty schoolboys instead of the respect they deserved. Apart from this we had a very enjoyable round of golf, even though we were held up by a slow foursome in front of us

Pace of play was slow, too much time to think about what you are doing. Other than that it’s a good test of golf skills.

Mayfield was in pretty good shape! Pace could be quicker! Will go back again!

Played the course because the price was fair and I was with a few friends whom never played a round before. Very erratic beginning as the 12 year old boy ringing my round in overcharged me $20 more than what I was supposed to play. Course was in good shape cosmetically but the playability of the course was it’s downside. My group lost countless balls that landed in the insanely pourus and long rough (not talking shanked shots either, balls would hop off fairway into the rough maybe 2 ft and they would be unfindable). Overall not impressed with the course. Also to note; the layout was awful and there is a constant demand for attention to stray shots from other holes as they may hit you, we were lucky not to be hit by balls over 10 times despite the shots landing within an arms reach from us. 3/10.

Another good day at Mayfield,my only complaint is that the foursome in front my twosome were brutally slow players, literally waited 20 minutes to tee off while we waited for the group in front to take their next shot after their first shot from the tee box.It continued for the first nine holes never did they offer to wave us thru, and blamed the group in front of them on the slow play, which imo was not the case. Fortunately the back nine was much better and faster pace. Still enjoyed the round as always .

Fairway and greens were great. Second cut was brutal; couldn't find balls even 2 feet into second cut. I think it's just the time of the year that this was the case. Nice Patio at the back

Couple of improvements needed:

1) Golf carts need to be replaced. No wind screen allowing for bugs and dust. Also, no rear cover for bags in case it rains.

2) The "check in area" is now closed. Had to check in at the restaurant/bar counter. Kinda clumsy.

3) Parking lot is all rocks and dust. Need to put a layer of asphalt. Shouldn't be too difficult !!
