Well conditioned course.
Good course for beginners, not a lot of hazards, course was in good shape.
Good value
You get what you pay for and I think this course is fair value. It is a short course where you can score well...a few nice holes and the greens are not bad. Pace of play is typically not bad. I would recommend it.
Wonderful Course
Very nice facility. Holes were shorter than what I'm used to playing, but still provided enough challenge to be fun. Unfortunately the pro shop gave me a hassle for booking through golf now. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Great course for beginners, or those looking for a less expensive, but enjoyable round of 18
Great course, great value
Was one of the cheapest 18 holes with a cart I could find. Was expecting poor quality green but everything was beautiful. Had a blast and felt welcomed by the staff. Thanks
Great Shape
In very good condition compared to others in the area! Very surprised at how good it was!
Beaverdale
I had not played Beaverdale in over a decade until I played last Friday afternoon. I had low expectations going in, as I was extremely disappointed in the course conditions the last time I played it. With the great deal that we got on Golfnow however, I thought that it was worth a shot. I was actually impressed with the greens and overall condition of the course. Everything was green and in decent shape. Don't expect lightning greens or perfect conditions, but it was a quick and enjoyable round. Good value for $30-$35.
Quick game
Very quick check and game. Friendly efficient staff. Started before original tee Time and a nice smooth quick game. Weather was great. Awesome day.very nice course.
Beaverdale
We had a great day. Pace was just over 5hrs because it was too busy. Waited every hole and sometimes for 2-3 groups. Fairways and rough were maintained but the greens were not in too form. Ball would bounce on you from the air raiding. Would golf again.
Nice round of golf
We had a great round on Saturday . The pace was decent , the course is in reasonable shape . The greens could use a little work .
The staff are always very friendly .
a beginner low end course compared to what we have played in the past but the day we played was really cheap since it was last minute.
For $10 each it was a good deal but it was very wet.
Memory Lane
I played at this course in the 1950's and it brought back a lot of good memories. There are a few nice par 3 holes and the ninth hole is always a good challenge with the highway on the left, water on the right and a creek at the base of the elevated green. Go for the green or lay up. A fun time and well maintained considering the time of year.
nice track, a bit short but many challenging holes
The staff were very friendly and very accommadating. The course was open in spots and very tight in others...a nice mix.
The greens were in good shape and putted true. Will certainly come back.
About What I Expected
I had not played Beaverdale for close to 10 years. When a Golfnow hot deal popped up I figured I would try it out as a late year bonus round. I wondered if the GolfNorth ownership change some years ago would have made a difference....
Unfortunately the course conditions left me wondering if I should have tried somewhere else. Tee boxes were beat up - it looked like the tee markers had not been moved for weeks. A few tee boxes were closed for what looked like repair / resodding. Greens were ok. Fairways in many places had very bare grass, perhaps due to the heavy tree cover.
The course was and still is famous for how tightly many holes are crammed together. To say one could feel unsafe in the central hub where holes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12 and 13 congregate is an understatement. I almost hit someone with a slightly errant tee shot, and the favor was returned graciously later in the round.
I had less than fond memories of the course from my youth, and unfortunately the course has not improved. For the price I paid it was worth a try, but I won't be going back. If you're in the area try Brookfield across the road from Beaverdale - not a great course either but much better conditions.
Short course, but narrow fairways, lots of mature trees.
Got to course early and friendly pro shop attendant said we could tee off any time we were ready.
Course not busy but even following a threesome we were not kept waiting.
