About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is southwestern Ontario's premier golfing destination. Located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the golf course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners. The gently rolling landscape was enhanced even further with the addition of more than a million tons of earth, which was carefully molded to look as though it had always been there. The meticulously crafted mounding adjoins the fairways, providing a continuous flow throughout the golf course. In addition to the mounding, golfers will also face large bunkers, tall fescue, bluegrass rough, and desert-like waste areas. It may appear daunting, but Sawmill Creek is not as tough as it looks.

Excellent afternoon
A really great time. The starter was friendly and helpful. Wonderful condition.
well laid out
challenging course with good conditions,, really well laid out course forcing the players too make good second shots on par 4 and 5's providing opportunities too score. bunkers are well maintained and placed strategically. overall the facility as whole is one of the most complete country clubs in the sarnia, lambton area,, offering a spa,, a driving range,, a hall,, and an amazing practice green. The staff was excellent as well and friendly.
Good links course
It had rained heavily for several days prior to the day we were there. Power carts were, accordingly, restricted to the rough with a 90° rule to your ball.Shoes got soaked on several fairways. I would want to play the course in better weather conditions in order to give a fair review.

Great course and fun to play
This was our first time at Sawmill and we would definitely go back there. My wife and I played with two local ladies who were so friendly and helpful. We hope to meet them again!!!! We would recommend this course. We had a wonderful day! Thank you Sawmill Creek!

Excellent value in clubhouse for dinner
The course was very nice and the deal was very good for the quality of the course, but the best experience was after the round. The clubhouse dining room had an excellent dinner with wings at $0.50 each and $12 pitchers of beer. The service for our meal after was excellent with very attentive waitress and excellent food and value.
Compact course
The design of the course is such that they seem to have squeezed in the track in a limited space. Lots of dog-leg holes, most of which had a sharp turn in the fairway. You could play the course without a driver, in fact, it's best to keep the driver in the bag on several par 4 holes.
Staff were friendly.
We were the first group out in the morning so we made great time. Things behind us seemed to be moving slow so we were happy to get a quick round in.
Fast greens
We got out a little early and where able to finish in 3.5 hours. Friendly staff and course in overall good shape. Did not eat there

Good early season course
Nicely laid out and well kept. This course will mature nicely through the years. I was surprised by how dry it was for April. Played with some friendly members and was and had a great time.
This coarse has the best grass we have ever played on locally
Fabulous grass and in great shape, interesting holes, right club selection and some luck it is a fun coarse to play. A little tricky finding the next hole a couple of times as it is not well marked. We got a great price on GolfNow and loved our morning.
Fast greens
This course has very fast greens.The wind comes out of no where and will affect your play.Nice challenging course.True links style.Would definitely play again.
fun challenge
My first time playing here and I can't wait to go back. Some beautiful golf holes! Challenging layout but fair. Very well maintained course.
Great outing, good value at discounted rate
Enjoyed the course despite heavy rains the few days before. Drainage was good with only a few unplayable lies. Probably too many sand traps to maintain properly. Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Staff was very friendly and food was good. I wish course was closer to London, but will return again.
Good Course to Enjoy
This is a very nice course that is usually very well maintained. As it happens they had just aerated and top dressed the greens. Needless to say the greens were still not too bad to play. The pace of play was wonderful with no waiting. This course can present a number of challenges with water on the elbow of a dog leg, water 1/2 way round a couple of greens, creeks and brush to carry over and well placed traps (found a couple of those along the way!!). The course has new homes along one side of #10 fairway and the clubhouse is lovely. There are facilities for weddings and large gatherings, as well as overnight or weekend stays. Nice quiet electric carts with lots of power and just an overall good experience. Don't hesitate on this one.
