About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is southwestern Ontario's premier golfing destination. Located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the golf course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners. The gently rolling landscape was enhanced even further with the addition of more than a million tons of earth, which was carefully molded to look as though it had always been there. The meticulously crafted mounding adjoins the fairways, providing a continuous flow throughout the golf course. In addition to the mounding, golfers will also face large bunkers, tall fescue, bluegrass rough, and desert-like waste areas. It may appear daunting, but Sawmill Creek is not as tough as it looks.

Nice course and a nice club house
Well worth the drive, nice course and a nice club house.
first rate place
nothing bad to say about this one...great condition,great layout,and can be played from the back tees by reasonably good golfers
Varied challenges make this course fun to play.
The course was busy with a member tournament and an outdoor event. My wife and I were allowed to go out on our own and we finished the course in a little less than 4 hours. We had a great weather day and had a fun golf day. The staff were great and the greens were fast. An enjoyable experience for the two of us.
Great day on a great course
A great course that I always enjoy coming back to play. The weather this year has been extremely good and the course really shows it.
If you like the feel of an inland loinks style of course, fescue and open fairways, you'll like Sawmill. The greens were also in great shape, only a couple were a little rough!
And the price was great

We booked last minute, and really scored on this one. Weather was perfect, course was in great shape and the pace of play was surprisingly fast. We even scored well to top it all off. we will definitely be back.
Restaurant Staff Horrible
We booked our round online through Golf Now. Proshop staff and Starter were top notch. Restaurant staff were horrible.
Tried to get a drink and sandwich after 9 holes in the restaurant and the guy there was short and impersonal, almost like we were bothering him.
After our 18 we went up to the outdoor patio for a drink and lunch. The guy from inside was out on the patio and ignored us. There was also a lady working, she ignored us as well. They were busy with a camping group from across the street, but we weren't even acknowledged !! After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to ask us if we wanted drinks, menus etc, we got up and walked out.
What a shame, as the course itself was great and we really enjoy playing here, but the restaurant experience was horrible.

Other than that short fall, this is a nice course.
Tees, fairways and greens were well maintained.
Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful.
Links course with lots of water.
First time playing this course and found it challenging with lots of water and bunkers. Will play easier the next time. Only complaint ....the bunkers were a little bit gravelly and lacked enough sand. Super friendly staff.
Well laid out course. Really tricky greens. Walkable.
The pro shop is quite a distance from the parking lot with not a lot of signage to get us there. On course the staff working on course were super friendly.

Worth the drive
Super price when you use the Golf Now Hot Deal and forego the cart and walk the very walkable course. My twosome was able to finish in under 4 hours. Very challenging finishing hole.
The course is a little out of the way.
Tough greens
My friends and I really enjoyed this course.Slick greens with lots of breaks.We'll be back.
Interseting variety of holes
Good links style layout (there is little or no shade during hot summer days, however). The greens here are always fast and smooth. The bunkers did not winter well and need work at this point in the year.
Note that there is a new chef who seems to have added some much needed quality to the clubhouse menu.
overall great experience
The pro and his staff were super helpful when I showed up for my round on friday to find out I accidentally booked it for Sat. The pro put me in contact with golfnow and 20 mins later we were teeing off for cheaper than the original booking and the course was in great shape when alot of places were not. We make the hr drive once a month ever since.
