About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is southwestern Ontario's premier golfing destination. Located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the golf course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners. The gently rolling landscape was enhanced even further with the addition of more than a million tons of earth, which was carefully molded to look as though it had always been there. The meticulously crafted mounding adjoins the fairways, providing a continuous flow throughout the golf course. In addition to the mounding, golfers will also face large bunkers, tall fescue, bluegrass rough, and desert-like waste areas. It may appear daunting, but Sawmill Creek is not as tough as it looks.

I am impressed by the work done on the course. It has come from a unplayable piece of garbage to a cecent course. As it was let go for years it is hard to recover it but the Groundcrew are doing it .
Good, Very Good
Tee ground : needs some management.
Fairway : getting better.
Bunker : almost good.
Green : almost good. (little bit slow)
Everything good.
Hidden Gem
Came in with very low expectations but the course condition and layout were great
Good course
I was so impressed by the course that I took out a 2025 membership. I hope all bunkers are playable next year. I also hope the driving range is reinstated.
Much Improved
I used to be a member here. The course was sold and with it the conditions deteriorated to pretty much a dirt track. Boy was I surprised coming back. The greens were some of the best in the area, fast. Still work to be done but you can see they are re-doing bunkers and getting it back to the previous standard. I hope it keeps trending in this direction - I'll be back!
Good course
I was at this course probably 10 years ago when our compony had a golf outing there. Later I heard that it deteriorated but recently revamped by new owners. The course is enjoyable. I know that some of the bunkers are a work in progress. I am currently a member at Kingswell and am considering switching. Somewhat disappointed there is no senior rate or weekday rate.
Getting much better
The greens are in nice shape very fast.
Lots of maintenance staff on course working hard to get it back to its former greatness.
It’s too bad the driving range is not in service.
The restaurant is getting good reviews.
Definitely a huge improvement over the past few years.
Really improved
Played Sawmill a few years ago and it was awful. New owners and a real 100 percent improvement. Well done and we will play it again.
Taxes are EXTRA even though Golf Now says Included
The groundskeepers continue to make great progress bringing this course back from a neglected pasture to a lovely playing facility. Our biggest issue was with Golf Now vs. the Pro Shop. Our booking with Golf Now clearly stated that taxes were included in the price and listed the amount we were to pay at the course. When we got there, the pro shop insisted we pay taxes on top of our rate even after I showed her our confirmation with "taxes included". They said they "have nothing to do with Golf Now" and I should "take it up with them". Yeesh! I paid an extra Golf Now fee and still had to pay more at the course. No thanks.

Sawmill is in great shape and worth playing. They are working hard every day to make it worth while playing Howard
First Round Not My Last
The course is being re-energized after being closed. Enjoyed the lay-out and work was being performed on bunkers and irrigation which will improve the conditions. Pro shop and bar staff were friendly. We were a group of 8 (members at another local course) and we all agreed we would return to play again.
Course is starting to look great but
Course in great shape but management is non existent.group in front were slow and a little drunk.Marshall seem to think there job is riding a cart and nothing else.
