Great course for high handicapper
Wide forgiving fairways make it enjoyable for beginners, nice scenic layout. Played 18 in 4 hrs .
Enjoyable to Play
Having three 9's provides some variety the East course is quite different from the north and south. The course is usually in very good shape and the staff are pleasant. Playing from the white tees, it is not overly long, which suits a senior golf for like myself. I always enjoy playing here.
Modern Convenience
No complaints with course, but they were struggling with a new (?) computer system. People trying to pay & get to tees were backed up.
At the turn we were going to get something to eat, but the lady behind the bar was struggling with a debit card in the computer and four more people were waiting to pay.
Course should really not be open when clubhouse has this many computer issues. I'm sure I'm not the only one who came away disappointed with this issue.
WORTH THE DRIVE
WORTH THE MONEY AND THE PACE OF PLAY WAS FAIRLY BRISK. Although THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY,THOSE ON THE COURSE WERE NOT AS MUCH.
We still believe golf is an honourable game and those that play it. Thanks for the feedback.
Good Shape
Considering it was early April the course was in good shape, the greens were slow but that is what you expect at this time of year, all in all was a good day.
awesome!
Great course but gasline going through.
I've golfed this course before and it's a nice course, but there is a gas line being put through and no warning through GolfNow that this is the case. So I thought I was getting a deal, but with the south/east course being a par 32 (4 par 3's), it was no deal at all. And the range is closed because of the construction. But the guy in the proshop was friendly and helpful. Fairways & greens have been aerated, but still in reasonable shape.
Thanks, we will double check the booking description. The first page of the booking screen in GolfNow can't be edited as we have asked.
This course is under construction
We played North 9 holes and when proceed to South Course, after two holes we were disappointed that there is major construction right in the middle of the course. We are lost in numerous holes and the Marshall could not help either. We think the last 5 or six holes are reduced to par 3's only.
We're not told that the course is under construction and the driving range is closed too.
I will pass this experience along to Rob our pro. They should of told you our course is under construction when booking
Dissatisfied Customer
The review is for booking and the course. I did not see anything on golf now about the construction happening at the course. If I missed it my apologies.
Why isn't there a note on Golfnow signifying the construction of a massive pipeline going through the course. I would not book a course that turns one nine holes to a 32 par from 36 due to construction. Especially when no one tells you. I spent good money and time to drive to a course that is under construction. This is unacceptable as the course should not be allowing players on that nine. Someone needs to do some homework! I love golf and Golfnow but this was a major disappointment from Golfnow and Carlisle Golf Club.
Very disappointed!!
Greg Anderson.
Fun track, poor time management
We had a fun although it was really slow play. This is part of the problem with the golf industry. Starters push players out in a hurry and then the players get frustrated having to wait in each shot. Figure out a solution so people don't have to spend five hours on the course. 4 hours should be the max. Then people will have more fun, opportunity to use the facilities afterwards such as the patio for f&b. After a five hour round you are tired, disappointed and don't have the luxury of spending another hour to enjoy the facilities. Come guys, come up with a solution so that everyone can have a fun day and you can make more money.
Thanks, yes agreed, time is our most precious commodity.
Shaggy Greens
The course has some challenging holes, North 6-7 in particular. The tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were in good shape. My only complaint are with the greens - it felt like I was putting on shaggy carpet. The front nine was played in 2.5 hours, but the back nine was completed much faster. I didn't see the course marshall at all, but I did see the beverage cart pass by 3-4 times.
Thanks, will pass this along to Joe our Superintendent.
Must play blue tees, too short from the white
A little pricey for a week day,but in good shape, lots of risk , reward holes. My overall rating is 7out of 10
Thanks for the feedback. Depending on your ability and how far you hit the ball the blue tees are a better test.
North/East Courses
For a first time playing here, the course was quite impressive. It challenges your 'full' game and you need to play smart golf.
Awesome! It is a shot makers course! Thanks for the feedback.
Great day of Golf!
Great course and well maintained.
I will go back!
Glad you enjoyed the round, thanks!
Well managed
Well managed as in the condition of the course and also managing the pace. Our threesome teed off at 7 am on a saturday with slower groups in front of us and finished the round in 3 1/2 hours. The marshalls were on top of things ...maybe too much at times but the end of the day...thanks for the great pace!!
Thanks for the feedback on the Marshalls.
Great Day at Carlisle
Pretty good little course, and decent pace. We enjoyed our day. Will play there again
Great value, challenging course
Got a great deal through Golf Now. Good length, not too long to walk. Some very interesting holes. Great layout for those with a left-to-right shot shape. Will definitely be going back!
Thanks!
Cart Cost
The value for playing this course is excellent, however charging $20.00 for a cart takes the value away and prices them no different then playing other course. A good example is the Royal Niagara you can paly that course for $45.00 cart included, and the course is far better then Carlisle. The only advantage is Carlisle is closer to play at. For the money I will drive the extra distance.
They need to include the cart with the price at Carlisle. Funny that they are both owned by the same people?
Overbooked
The day was long....way too many twosomes and threesomes which created a backlog on every tee.
The round took just over 5 hours!!!
We payed $75.00 to ride and we were realy disappointed with the wait on every hole.
Our apologies, I will send this feedback to Rob our Head Golf Professional.
Beware! Out for your money
We play this course regularly but this time one of our friends bailed on us and we told the pro shop attendant and they charged us for the extra person anyway. Beware! I won't be playing this course or any Kaneff course till they make this right.
Na
Over all it's nice course
Thanks for the feedback!
