Carlisle Golf and Country Club - North/East
About
Nestled in a small community just 10 minutes north of Burlington, Ontario, Carlisle Golf & Country Club offers a convenient and affordable golf. The club is open to the public but still offers the benefits of a private club with perfect conditions on all of the golf courses and a friendly, helpful staff.
The North Course is the longest of the three at 3,409 yards from the back tees. There is a fair amount of trees scattered throughout the golf course and the well manicured fairways are always in good condition.
The East Course is the shortest. At 3,179 yards from the back tees, Carlisle Golf & Country Club's East Course is not significantly shorter in length but it is easier than the other two courses. There are trees along the fairways and the manicured greens putt true. There are also several tee deck options to accommodate players of all skill levels.

Great value
Good variation of holes. Three 9 hole courses. North the most challenging , south and east more obtainable. I would say from the blues it generally plays about 3 strokes easier than par for each nine, not super long, but a lot of forced carries off both tee and fairway make things interesting.
Fifty bucks including cart on a Saturday afternoon is definitely a good deal. The cashless system is a little baffling, but not the end of the world. Friendly and accommodating staff, good amenities.
I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend, and will gladly play again in the near future.
Very good, just a few administrative observations!
Loved the course, will definitely be back, but had just a had a couple observations;
(1) I couldn't pre-book the cart online, although on arrival they advised carts always available.
(2) Also, on arrival, I was advised that Monday afternoons was "lady's" preference time so we would be shuffled around.
(3) Ended-up playing same 9 twice to make-up our 18 hole reservation which was a bit disappointing.
Great shape!
The course was in absolutely beautiful condition. All greens and fairways were well maintained and in great shape.
Only drawback was cart girl came around twice during entire round and drove by second time with out even asking if we wanted anything on an extremely hot and humid day.
No cash?
Don't understand a company this big will not take ANY cash, this is crazy, plastic only? Will be a long time before I return. Unhappy group.
Well maintained but not a great layout
Course had taken lots of rain the days prior but was well maintained. Greens were very fast. Nice course but layout is confusing at times and does not naturally flow.
Good Course
A good Kaneff course, 3 nines in good condition, greens are perfect
I like the facility and the fact they have 3 nine's. I was not enthralled with the East course but warming up to it. Still prefer to play the North/South as a 18 hole option. Last time I played the North was under maintenance; not sure why. Second last time I played the Starter was somewhat acrimonious when we showed up 2 minutes before our tee time and indicated we were late and had sent off two foursomes who were booked after our tee time. Gave us an alternative which was OK.
They don't take cash
Fine golf course. We played at 7am so we expected slow greens but they were pretty fast and got faster...bring plastic money they are cash free...I couldn't buy a Gatorade!!!
Thanks for the feedback, we are going to have to inform our online bookings better about our cashless policy.
Quick first 9 , very slow back 9
we started at 9am, First 9 took 1.5 hours. back 9 took 3 hours (crazy). Based on the parking lot, there wasn't that many people. They should keep slow players on the same 9 and keep good players on the other 18.
Wow that is strange. Thanks for the feedback. We will send this to Rob our Golf Pro.
Fun Course to Play
Found this place as a last minute booking when our other place got cancelled. Was pleasantly surprised. Greens rolled true. Some nice challenging holes. Lots of places to recover from as well. Staff were really nice. Will go back.
Awesome
Great course for high handicapper
Wide forgiving fairways make it enjoyable for beginners, nice scenic layout. Played 18 in 4 hrs .
Thanks for the feedback!
Enjoyable to Play
Having three 9's provides some variety the East course is quite different from the north and south. The course is usually in very good shape and the staff are pleasant. Playing from the white tees, it is not overly long, which suits a senior golf for like myself. I always enjoy playing here.
Modern Convenience
No complaints with course, but they were struggling with a new (?) computer system. People trying to pay & get to tees were backed up.
At the turn we were going to get something to eat, but the lady behind the bar was struggling with a debit card in the computer and four more people were waiting to pay.
Course should really not be open when clubhouse has this many computer issues. I'm sure I'm not the only one who came away disappointed with this issue.
WORTH THE DRIVE
WORTH THE MONEY AND THE PACE OF PLAY WAS FAIRLY BRISK. Although THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY,THOSE ON THE COURSE WERE NOT AS MUCH.
We still believe golf is an honourable game and those that play it. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the feedback. Will send over to Rob our Golf Pro.
