Cranberry Golf Course
About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Wet....but enjoyable (raining)
Pace was good, conditions great for growing turf (raining), but just great to get a round in at this time of year.
Wet conditions on Cranberry
Course is extremely wet with some holes with standing water, due to the excessive rainfall over the past few days. We had a family of 3 in front of us that were extremely slow. We ended up skipping around hole 2 to bypass them. After that, it was fairly quick, except for the last couple of holes. Sand traps need some work.
Nice course
Nice course but have issues with the t boxes. Not well maintained holes and many bare patches. Staff is great. Fairways and greens (generally) are well maintained. A lot of over growth that could be trimmed. Big issue with the ninth hole. Either make it a fairway with proper bunkers or just a fairway all the way. Right now it is awful. Not a golf hole at all.
Golf
Thanks guys. I live in Collingwood. I’m a member of the golf course and I play every Tuesday and Friday since May
Golfing at Blue.
Long Fairways and a well-maintained course. Enjoyed the course. Friendly members.
Great pace of play
We are members so play the course twice weekly. Really enjoyed this round. No pressure in front or behind.
Enjoyed a very good meal on the deck after.
Interesting layout
We played during a rainy week so the course was damp and it was cart path only. There are many doglegs that add to the challenge. As it is at Blue mountain we were surprised it was not hilly but it is actually in a home development. We enjoyed the experience despite the bad weather.
CranHappy
Staff and Starting staff were excellent. Course was in great shape on a mostly warm sunny day. only issue that was had is that we only saw the Refreshment cart once during our round. Would have liked at least 2 visits. Also, no lunches on the refreshment cart as in sandwiches.
Maintainance
Course is better than 2 weeks ago.
Finally cut the grass after 2 months.
dont play right after a 6 hour rainstorm
Course was very nice but many of the fairways were covered with water from the rainstorm that day....greens were great and we will definitely play it again in drier conditions
could be better
The course is a very good layout with some very challenging holes. Hitting to the right spot is a must if you want to score well. The tee boxes are in terrible shape. Looks like you are at the local municipal course and not a course that wants $99.00 a round. The course was very wet and the greens were in fairly good shape but on the slow side. I would not pay the advertised rate to play the course with the condition it is in.
Communication disappointing
Arrived at course with my two guests from out of town.... had booked tee times with cart for 3. We drove 35 minutes to Cranberry to be informed that due to rain there were no power carts ....there were also no push carts. We didn’t bring our own carts ...no reason to. So we. could not play...we are 3 mature women and can’t carry bags. A simple email from the course advising of the situation would have prevented a big disappointment.
Overgrown
Terribly maintained.
Overgrown and lot’s of mosquitoes!
Pace of play is disgustingly slow.
Resort course with 30% of non golfers delaying play!
