Great Course - RUDE Staff
Staff at bag drop were extremely rude.
Then tried to get a refund and was refused by pro.
Course conditions
The sand traps were all ground under repair, due to no sand and repairing all traps. Not a real game of golf when all the bunkers are free lifts due to ground under repair.
Just okay
They are not big on service or having sandwiches for their guests. Very bare bones. Layout was nice but not well kept for the money you pay. The bunkers were bare with muck or dried up - they tell you to take a free lift. This course should be $60 and no more. Bring your own food and water too. And they make you sign a bunch of paperwork to ride a golf cart. Would not go back or recommend.
Lora Bay Golf
Course was in great conditions considering the massive rain storm two days prior. We were disappointed that our evening was ruined by the pace of play by the group in front. We ended up skipping two holes(16/17) of the nine we played(walking by the groups) because of an eight some of ladies( believe one is a member) playing altogether. Tee off at 5pm, skipping 2 holes and still took 2.5 hours.
Great Course, but overpriced
Had a great time on this track the second time this year. First time was early on and the course wasn't looking as nice as it was on the second visit. Layout is nice, but from the blues it wasn't super challenging. I think green fees are about $20-30 too high.
Disappointed Bunkers we’re under repair.
When we arrive the science said bunkers were to repair we simply asked what is going on, the reply was we had a lot of rain last week OK. We played three days beautiful sunny skies every day very dry and no one ever bothered to go down to just simply rake the bunkers maintain the bunkers or do anything. Sorry that’s not a great facility to pay $165 in the pro shop said most people just take their ball and throw it out of the bunker and play it from the grass. One more thing the marshal sits at the Curt sign approaching the green and it’s not friendly I parked on the rough Paskert sign to make a shot and he gave me a hard time. Outside of that I like the course just disappointed that they won’t maintain it and didn’t know why this Marshall had to be so rude
Great Course
A great course , a bit pricy for most of us, in great condition and nice layout. Very enjoyable.
Lora Bay Golf
Good appearance on arrival. Good friendly staff. Course in excellent condition.
Expensive for my calibre of golf but very enjoyable to play.
Staff were very accommodating in moving our group tee off times to later in the day due to the weather. It cleared up right in time. Course was in good shape. Overall a good round of golf. Would recommend this course even at the price as it’s a must try. The wind and bunkers might it a challenge on most holes.
Could Be A Gem
Lora Bay has a fabulous layout abutting Georgian Bay. Greens roll true. Sand could use an upgrade. Staff was generally good. But we encountered a fella that obviously didn’t enjoy his job. He “greeted” us and eventually took our bags and put them on carts. Several holes have spectacular vistas of the bay. Nice clubhouse. Throw a few bucks at this and it could be one of the top tracks in the province.
