Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club - Hills/Woods
About
Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club is home two three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine is unique but they all offer scenic views of the native landscape and wildlife. The Hills and the Woods was the original 18-hole golf course at Flamborough Hills, the Lakes nine was added later. The Hills/Woods course, as its name indicates, features a rolling landscape and plenty of trees lining the fairways. The Woods nine features Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club's signature hole, the par-3 second. The hole features an elevated tee deck and a demanding carry over a water hazard to a narrow, kidney-shaped green, requiring careful club selection and strategy.

Course in good shape
Cost will not be huge.bargain anywhere this year so the price here just ok. Course however; in surprisingly good shape.
Great golf in late November
Exceptional service. Paired up with two good chaps. Finished the round in 3.5 hrs.
You forget all about the pandemic on such a great day out.
Layout Confusing
I used to play this course years ago and gave it a try last month. Tricky to know the layout but we played with 2 members who knew the course. Multiple tees on one tee block so it’s a bit different, almost seems like they were lacking the acreage to accommodate 27 holes.
Fairways weren’t cut short enough and the rough is fairly long. There isn’t a first cut of rough, it’s fairway or rough. Not uncommon to have other groups golf balls on your fairway. Pace was erratic at times, it would get backed up and then it was as if the group ahead would skip a hole.
Overall, I think there are nicer courses to play in the area.
Greens were in excellent shape for early November.
Fairways were good but in some areas tough to differentiate from rough. Tee boxes in fair to good shape.
Staff is friendly and service prompt.
tough but fun and challenging
The course layout was great if it wasnt for the pin placement this course would be great to comebck again but with a discounted rates lol..greens are fast as it is but the pins location are way too close to the edge if youre trying to putt from the center to the hole location goodluck to not have your balls roll out or back off the greens, other then that i have no complaint, beautiful course with nice fireplace Patio, havent try their foods yet so no comment lol
Worth the drive
Play here a few times a year , 27 holes helps with the variety. Hills and woods nines are very similar , Lakes a little different and the most challenging.
Staff always friendly and while Covid stops a stay after the food is also recommended. Patio has a decent view but not an overlooking the 18th found on some course.
Be careful with carts as we have had two clearly not charging properly in the last two visits . Yesterday required a change at 7 .
Greens were excellent, fairways were good but second cut had some dead areas. All in all considering the summer course was in good condition.
Woman and the desk was rude. Rest of staff was amazing.
Course is nice but too many groups made it for a relatively slow round
Staff on the patio was great after the round
Course is nice and besides some of the tee boxes was in excellent condition. I’d play there again but it’s a bit expensive.
