Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club - Woods/Lakes
About
Located in Copetown, Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club originally opened under the name Windsor Park in 1961. Since then, another nine, the Lakes nine, has been added and the Woods nines underwent renovations to make the golf course more challenging. In total, the club offers 27 holes of golf. They are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Woods/Lakes course features plenty of water hazards and mature trees. The Woods’ second hole is Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club’s signature hole. This tricky par-3 features an elevated tee deck and requires a challenging carry over water to a narrow, kidney-shaped green.

Overall a good course.
This course is very nice. Well designed.
The only part that I didnt like was the course Marshall came by and asked us to speed up, meanwhile we had a group in front of us, we COULDN'T speed up...
Plus, we had a member who was being an absolute A@#, a group behind us.
Slow play
Pace of play was slow at times because the three some in front of us looked for lost balls in the woods until they found a ball. Not good golf manners. Marshal did nothing to move them along
Be prepared to wait and stand around.
Not one to typically leave any bad reviews, but first time for everything. Nearly 3 hours to play 10 holes on a Wednesday afternoon. No one on the course to manage the pace of play. Waiting for at least 5-8 minutes on every shot barring once you hit the green. Disappointed to say the least.
A pleasant experience
Enjoyed playing and enjoying the company of the two good players in the group with whom I was teamed. A beautiful place to go. Entire staff, Martials as also the golfers whom I came across were friendly, appreciative and nice. Good value for money. For sure looking forward to getting membership next year when these are opened. Definitely recommend this Course with a negotiable level of difficulty.
Enjoyable Round
The weather was a very comfortable temperature and mostly sunny.
The pace was a typical weekend pace... kind of slow. How is it that even with many carts, it's still a 4.5 plus hour round? If people want a walk in the park, that's where they should go. It wouldn't take up as much of they're time.
Still, I had a good time with the 3 guys I was paired with.
too many hidden greens
too many hidden pins and greens, not sure where to hit the shot for the green or pin????
Sprayed with pesticide
Gypsy moth season I guess, regardless, 6:40 am they had a helicopter fly over and spray us with pesticide, not from a distance, literally 50 ft above us,
Wonderful, challenging golf course.
Having played Woods to Lakes (two of the three the starter will select for you), in reflection, the course layout asks you to be able to hit a tee shot with the correct shape, when required and not necessarily with the driver to leave you a good approach shot. The bunkering is strategic, playing with your focus, and if you end up in it, requires a nice touch to make the up and down. Water does come into play in some holes, but if you select the correct shot you can avoid it.
It is a good walk for sure, and by the time you are complete you have earned the 19th hole at the great club house and patio.
SOMEONE FROM GOLFNOW PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!
I booked and payed for a hotdeal yesterday for 2 people, it cost me 109 dollars, when we arrived at the course we were informed that we couldn't golf due to a power outage. So I'm out my money and am finding it impossible to get in contact with anyone from GOLFNOW. PLEASE SOMEONE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME, THANKS!
Gorgeous
Beautiful course, well maintained. 3 different 8 hole courses so lots of options and level of difficulty. Will be returning again
