Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club - Woods/Lakes
About
Located in Copetown, Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club originally opened under the name Windsor Park in 1961. Since then, another nine, the Lakes nine, has been added and the Woods nines underwent renovations to make the golf course more challenging. In total, the club offers 27 holes of golf. They are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Woods/Lakes course features plenty of water hazards and mature trees. The Woods’ second hole is Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club’s signature hole. This tricky par-3 features an elevated tee deck and requires a challenging carry over water to a narrow, kidney-shaped green.

Very slow
Course was in great shape especially for the start of the season. Cost to play is good value for your $. Pace of play was unbearably slow (Tuesday morning). A foursome slowing the entire course and the Marshall does nothing about it - why even have a Marshall? Not worth the frustration, will not return.
Great first round of the year.
It has been 10 years since I played Flamborough Hills. The course was in good shape for the time of year. The pace of play was great, as we finished in just over 4 hours. The course (we played has a nice layout and is challenging. I will be back.
Amazing food
Both The price and faraway condition are better than others in Spring season. While, the instructions on GPS are little confused because it directs car path but no mark tells you car paths.
Great fall golf
Course was in great shape. Nothing beats a fall round and Flamborough Hills meets all the expectations.
Perfect day on a great course
Value for the money here was beyond better than average. The course was in beautiful condition. Greens were a bit marked up as one would expect for a public course with some short par 3's and 4's. With high balls coming into these greens I found many greens where I repaired not only my mark and one other but sometimes many... a bit of a shame but hard to control.
Pace of play was a bit slow for a Thursday morning round but it never got unbearably slow. I would highly recommend this course to those that need the extra room off the tee as you won't lose very many balls here and it still has some challenging holes too. Looking forward to playing here again soon!
The course is in good condition
This course is in good shape for "fall" golf. The pace was reasonable at 4.25 hours. There are a few holes that require a long, well placed tee shot and approach, and there are lots and lots of trees. Generally speaking, I'd say the fairways are not particularly wide. It's also a good walk. Today the course got the better of me.
The cost is reasonable considering the Pandemic pricing of most courses.
Nice course, good for mid to high hcp players
The 3 nines are quite similar, and are are good challenge for beginner to intermediate players, greens are a bit slow but in good condition. Clubhouse has a great selection of food and bar is decent. Friendly staff. Recommend
5 stars all around
First off I want to say this place is a hidden gem. It was my first time playing here and I was absolutely impressed. From the price of the the coarse $52+tax weekday (walking) to the coarse conditions to even the members who where very friendly. Everything was great. There are some hills but not many and it is a very decent walkable coarse. I got paired up with 3 members who where much older than me and they where very friendly and made me feel like one of their buddies. Pace of play was good at 3 hours and 40 mins with 2 walkers and 2 people in cart. These gentleman knew the coarse well which helped me with some of the tricky holes for placement. I played HILLS, and WOODS and I played very very well with my best score this season of 84. They had just added sand to the greens which in the morning made it a little tricky because it was wet but when it eventually dried up they where fine. I grabbed a bite to eat after and the staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Only downfall was the practice range. It was mats only but I won’t let that affect my overall rating of this great coarse. Definitely will be trying to come back even though is a little far for me as I’m closer to Toronto.
One you have to go play
So we went there last Sunday, the course is in amazing shape! It’s a bit of a drive from Niagara to Cooperstown but worth it. Not too expensive, food is outstanding. The only thing I didn’t like is those stupid carts with the GPS, they stop if you get too close to anywhere they don’t want you to go , and deadly slow getting back out of that area. Other than that it was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back there..
Immaculate
Played with 3 members and had a great time. The course was in immaculate shape. From the tee boxes to the greens. Would.love to play there again.
Only set back... I think the course was in Halloween mode and the pins were in "scary places" lots of slope and grades, if you missed it just rolled away and away and away. In my opinion even on a good lag put you couldn't stop the ball on a lot of the greens..
Seemed a little unfair. But then again... I guess I need to learn to read greens better? But I digress, it was great and in great shape.

Fantastic shape
Played the Hiis and Woods, excellent shape considering the rainfall the night before. Unfortunately it was cart path only but pace of play was good. Greens were in great shape ball rolled nicely no jumping. Shot a score of 80 was quite pleased. Awesome job at keeping the course in excellent condition
