Really Poor Experience
3 friends and I played on Aug 29th. I understand that it rained the day before but cart path only in 38 degrees celsius could have been avoided. Maybe cart path only for some holes.... it was definitely dry enough.
ALSO, there was NO food available at the course due to weddings taking place that day. The only food available were potato chips from the beverage cart. Our tee time was at 330pm and we were absolutely famished by the end of the round (again, in 38 degree heat). We didn't have any access to food/water after the 11th hole.
Overall the course was in poor condition compared to when I played it several years ago. A tremendous disappointment.
18 holes took more than 5 hours. Way too slow.
Aug 27
Great course for target golf. Not many friver holes. The course itself is a jewel - especially if you like airplanes.
However there is no upkeep going on. Tee boxes are brutal with no maintenance. They dont stress replace / repair divots and the green are full of dents.
Nice course, zero maintenance and for $125 i wont be back
Terrible pace of play
The staff did a terrible job of spreading people out. There should never be 3 groups on one par 4. There is no excuse for that. And for 130$ this course fell far below expectations.
Will not be coming back.
Great course in the City.
Just played my first 18 at Woodbine. Staff were great and a special shout out to the starter for giving me a lighter for the cigars. Course was great for a city course and great for the price. I will be back.
2021 Price increase a rip-off
Love this course - try to play a couple of times/year but price increase this year is ridiculous! Disappointed to see course mgmt liking to make a quick buck with increased Covid demand. A
Poor tee boxes and slow pace of play
The tee boxes weren’t very well maintained. Lots of divots. Sometimes the blocks were basically making you play off the dirt. Group of SIX in front of us. Marshall’s did nothing to break them up. Waited in every tee for 10+ minutes. 5 hour round.
Not worth the money
Pretty awful course. Poorly maintained, and outrageously expensive considering what you get. I wish I stayed at home rather than golf here and it doesn't take much to please me as a golfer
Overall this course is not worth the price charged. There are many better courses in the GTA at this price. Tee boxes are not well maintained. #9 is still not fixed, from 2020. We had a 10:20 tee time and at 10:12 the starter told us he would put another group out in our slot and we would follow them. Then he immediately left before we could reply. We spoke to the group and they said they were staff so were allowed to be squeezed in. We had an afternoon appointment so were already a bit time pressed. The group did end up letting us go out at our booked time, but the starter’s dismissive attitude was annoying.
