The Marshall needs to do a better job at keeping the pace of play up. Took us 6 hours to play 18 cause the group in front of us was slow and looking for their balls repeatedly as we literally stood there waiting along the group behind us as well with 2 open holes in front of them. Never in a rush to golf but waiting for 10 min to tee off is annoying especially this time of year when its getting colder
Overpriced.
Drive 20 minutes further into the suburbs for something half the price with better quality.
Inconsistent for the Price
We played on a very nice day- welcoming staff were excellent. One Par 5 was changed to a 4 and the temporary tee box was what you would find in a field. 3-4 other tee boxes were pretty chewed up. Half way beverage cart had no sandwiches left - just chips, beer and water. Plan to bring your own food and snacks.Greens were pretty good - I think 6 of them had been recently sanded so were much slower and bumpy - many players ahead of us didn't repair their ball marks. It was cart path only this day though many fairways were dry - made for some long walks with multiple clubs in hand. This course used to have GPS in the carts - no longer -guessing or walking off yardages as there are only 150 and 100 yard stakes led to further delays. During Covid and with the high demand - courses are somewhat taking advantage of golfers with high rates and reduced experience. I think for this course the green fees should be $69 not $99 plus taxes at this point in the season during peak times. Though this adds to the coffers now after a few leaner years - not sure this strategy will help in growing the game with younger golfers when Covid is behind us and they and rest of us have more options again.
Wouldn't recommend for an "Average" golfer.
I wouldn't recommend this course. My girlfriend is a good golfer (Shoots 110ish), but she never really hits the ball super high and far. With water in front of almost every green, it was so frustrating for her to just give away golf balls on every approach shot.
Water on every hole - so be accurate, or lose loads of balls. I basically couldn't use my driver most holes.
It was Cart Path only, even though the course was fine (What are you saving the course for in October??).
The Marshalls and Starter were all pretty rude also. Starter especially.
Average to mediocre course
Poor layout. Miserable staff. No food for sale on course.
Course condition
Wasn’t impressed, 4 greens were sand covered, 3 holes were shortened for whatever reason, should have been told this when checking in.
