The rewards are great and Royal Woodbine's beautifully conditioned fairways and greens make this championship course a real pleasure to play. Just minutes from downtown Toronto on the Mimico Creek Valley, this is one of the area's treasures.

Nice course with some Challenging holes
Good course with some varying and challenging holes.
Could Have Been Better
We had to wait 15 minutes after our start time and the pace wasn't good so we only got 13 holes in before it got too dark. A marshal should have moved pace along.
Ball Marks and Divots
Pace of play was poor as 2 players in front were playing Blues should have been playing Reds. Greens full of Ball Marks and they have been Air rated and sanded. Tee blocks were over used and had bare patches. Fair were full of Divots and they were not Replaced. Value for the Dollar not worth it.
It was good
the course was in good shape for late season. I appreciated being updated by phone about the frost delay. The starter was very controlling. The pace of play was not good. Overall though it was enjoyable
Charging for a Child (non-golfing)
I like this course and play it often - my gripe today is that the pro shop charged my friend $30 to have his 7 year old son ride in the cart with him, after having a babysitter (ex-wife) cancel at the last minute. This child was NOT playing golf and rarely left the cart. When asked why, the response was, "well we can't have everybody bring out girls friends, now can we?" Not only is this answer irrelevant to the situation but it's slightly sexist as well.
I was disappointed by this experience.
Wonderful course
Love the location of the course and it has some beautiful and surprising holes. Definitely a fun course to play.
No bang for your buck
115 bucks for a weekend tee time at 2. For 115 I would expect a lot more than what royal had to offer. I’ve played equivalent courses for 60-70 bucks.
Brutal
This course was a disappointment on every level. The cost, reviews, and description suggested this course would provide a nice challenging 18 - it was anything but. We actually walked off on hole 12 because the experience was so poor.
- The course was in bad shape
- the overall design is underwhelming
- The smell of the local industrial plants was appalling
- Highway views on many holes
- very slow pace of play
- loud planes overhead
- poor irrigation
- rough cart paths
- old carts
- short holes (scorecard not reflective of true length)
- etc
It was the least enjoyable round of golf I have played in a decade.
nice but greens could have been better
the greens have a number of divots from golf players but no-one fixes them so your ball bounces toward the holes
Nice course. Not too expensive.
My only complaint is that the signage on the second and third holes needs to be improved. I had some difficulty finding the white tees on both holes.
Great course, keep the ball in play!!!
Challenging tight course, love playing on this track.
