East/west course, good degree of difficulty. With Bona-Fide 5s and postage stamp greens.Greens and fairways well maintained!
Ok for price
Nice course u could walk for the money. South course abit rough but west course was fine
Need rubber boots
Very poor conditions. Course should be closed for how wet it was. Paid for 18 holes and a cart. Looking for a credit. Carts where not available and could only play 9 holes. Probably a decent course in good conditions.
Fergus golf course
The layout of the course is nice and open it was a overall fun day
TOO EARLY
Bailed after 4 holes, There was a lot of rain in past few days and while this course normally drains well, it was a swamp today.
Always chancy this time of year in our area but i was surprised it was even open today.
However, in better conditions this is a fun enjoyable course which is easy to walk and typically with good pace of play. Just need a few dry days and will be back
Good Value
This course is very forgiving with decent fairways. The layout is simple but good. The greens however were actually really well kept. This course is very good for the price you pay. Will play again.
The Course
Hidden gem just outside of Fergus Ontario.
This course was in excellent condition. Fairways we lush and easy to hit from. The greens are small but you are required to have a good second or third shot into the greens.
We had a great time and will be back again.
Great course and the dollar value was outstanding.
Fergus golf course 1st this season
I often play 9 holes here after work as is near office but time and other commitments have kept me from playing this year This was my first full round of the year.
Wife likes the course and good deals on Golf Now. Course was not busy we went out by oursekves st 8:30 AM. Staff is always welcoming here
Pretty open course for those who have not played here. Pretty level and links style with no trees in east west nines. South 9 is parkland style with lots of trees and many tight driving holes. We played east west.
Course was in decent shape. Fence lines are trouble on 4 holes so watch the hooks! The defence on most holes is rough and fescue areas Couple good length par fives and 1, 8 and 9 on east are a good challenge.
14th green has a perennial bare strip through it. Not sure if due to poor drainage or damage at some point but has ruined a few good putts. Would like to see this corrected.
Rest of the greens are good not real fast but interesting slope on most of them
The fact this course is not usually packed is a plus. We were around in 3 1/2 hours
Not terribly tough and most fairways are generous but a good outing on a Saturday vs waiting on every tee at other courses in the area
Hot deal
Got a hot deal for 4.
Good pace all day. Greens were much softer and greener than what I had learned to expect over the years.
It’s not the top course you’ll play but good value.
Good course bad time
Unfortunately the rain pounded us the entire time. Due to weather we only could do 9 of the 18 holes we bought. However we will go back and play on a nicer day. Looks like a great course.
gazz09
coarse in good shape with all the dry weather we have had
Staff unfriendly, but enjoyed the golf
It was my first time playing at this course. Did not feel welcomed at all at pro shop - more like an inconvenience than a customer. At the 10th hole a group of 4 walkers were put in front of us (2 with a cart). Not impressed and will not be returning.
