About
Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

course needs a make over
The Beddoe course is sadly in terrible shape. Stanley Thompson would be rolling over in his grave! Greens very poor, tees not much grass, rough as hard as pavement so any shot hitting it was uncontrollable! IN need of major reno but difficult as it is layed out over clay soil. They get no more of my money!
Great course for the money
I've played this course 4 times this year and really enjoy it.
There are several challenging holes because of the hilly terrain and plenty of trees to make this a very aesthetically pleasing course.
Takes about 4 hours to play a round with a good pace of play.
I have found the staff very helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend Chedoke for both the challenge and the value.
Always a Challenge
I’m embarrassed to say I’ve only played this course 3 times and have lived here for 30 years. I really enjoy the course; conditioning is spectacular for a public course and they have done a great job of holding the line on pricing. My golf buddies and I enjoy walking and this course is a good walk (until you reach the hills on the back nine).
Nice Warmup Round
I was able to use all the clubs in my bag, and play around with a few new shots. The greens were good at each hole.
Great course
Well laid out course. Challenging, but not to the point of making it miserable.
Definitely would come back
Not Woman Friendly
Same old story here. Beddoe is too long for the average woman golfer. Carries to some of the fairways are too long. Par four on some holes were over 340 yards and one par three is 176 yards. You shouldn't have to take a driver on a park three. Not a fun course for the ladies and not conducive to keeping women in the game. For most, the third shot in is still too long. Although the slope/rating for omen reflects. that this is a challenging course, that doesn't make it fun. It's also not evident where to take take carts in some cases. Most courses have smartened up when it comes to yardages for women. Chedoke never has. To get the same enjoyment out of the game that the men do here, course needs to be 4800 to 5000 yards. Even the guys I played with couldn't handle their tees. Want to speed up the game? Make it more average player friendly. Sometimes there's a fine line between a challenge and just plain frustration. Nice to see ball washers and benches back though and the ball going to the bottom of the cup.
Challenging
Good value and challenging course.
Hotdogs on the 10th hole a must to get.
Excellent course challenging with terrain and trees
Will definitely play this course again.
The hotdogs were excellent also.
