Slow game
Slow game alot of waiting and no food cart the whole game . Course contrition ok could be better
one of a kind
The Chedoke Beddoe course traverses up and down a steep rise left behind by glaciers thousands of years ago. It is an environmentally protected area that challenges the golfer with par 5's all uphill, or beautiful tee boxes overlooking the city and the hole below. This course has been open to the public for decades, it is well run and the course itself is an 8 of 10 in terms of groundskeeping..If going in the early morning expect to see wildlife, fox, deer and perhaps a coyote.
Very impressed
This is my 2nd time playing Chedoke & I know I'll be back this summer. The course is in great shape and you simply can't beat the value it provides. It's significantly better than many other public & semi-private courses in the area with long Par 3's, 4's, and 5's - especially of the blues. There isn't too much to worry about with respect to water, but there are still lots of trees to lose the balls in! Greens are fairly straightforward but nice and big, and in really good condition.
It's just okay
First, not enough parking for the golfers because of the many people parking for the park trails. Very hilly, so best if you use a cart. The rough just off the fairways is very dense - we lost a number of balls that we had thought were straight in front of us. A few blind holes too many with dog legs - impossible to track your balls in those situations. No yardage markers so you'd better have a device.
4 star
Tee boxes a little rough but overall fairways and greens in pretty good shape . Page of play average to slow . Staff is friendly and good selection of food at half way point
Rained out
Unfortunately, we got rained out after 9 holes. The course was in good shape and the greens were well maintained. We had no problem getting a rain check.
