Nearly great.
For a municipal course, this is a good place. It is challenging, especially if you are playing for the first time or without some local knowledge. The greens are in good condition, but small and very slow. There are few yard markers, often no signs at the tee-off to tell about distances, so bring your own computer. The traps were hard-packed and not well prepared. There is no coffee for morning golfers! I learned how to golf there 50 years ago, so I’ll go back, but not sure if I would without the nostalgia factor.
Great Layout Terrible Condition
Never played a course that had a better design but the worst conditions I have ever seen
Great Layout - That's about it
Played a round at Chedoke Beddoe recently. Tee'd off at 9:10am... no facilities open, nowhere to buy drinks or breakfast snacks. Course was in bad shape, kind of expected for this time of year. Pot holes everywhere when driving the cart. No open food/beverage facilities at the 10th hole so nowhere to grab lunch or drinks. No beverage cart. Pace of play was good and the staff was super friendly. Likely will not be back to this course at this time of year again.
Above averqge
You get good value for money. Friendly staff from starter to cart. Will play again
Staff external to pro shop
Had an amazing time until we hit the back 9. Didn’t see one ranger. 3 hour back 9 on the Bedoe. I asked the cart guys in front of the shop if I can find an alternate route as the back 9 on the Bedoe had 4 groups on each hole. He told me I have to stay where I am and that’s it. Ironically I thought the customer could at least be appeased in some way shape or form. As the title states. Not one Marshall/ranger was visible for the whole 18. My playing partner can attest. After 9 I asked the starter positioned at the first tee of the Bedoe and asked if we could play the front 9 again. She said no. The hole was clear and nobody was on the tee. She also stated she called for a Marshall to help mitigate. Nobody was seen nor made any attempt to help the situation at all. What has happened at Chedoke? I used to love playing there. Never again.
Very good test of golf.
Not an easy golf course to score on. Very fair and although it is not that long it will challenge you. Par 3's are very good. I will be back.
Chedoke
Refreshment cart was not seen for entire round.
Would’ve been nice to be able to have some wings afterwards but, not available.
Seating area could use some upgrades.
Washrooms could also use some renovations.
Wet conditions
Course Wes’s water logged due to a rain storm. We were not notified that a temporary green for 1 while existed. Temporary green was basically mowing down the fairway really short…not the best.
Limited carts per foursomes
After advising the staff that I have health issues and could not share a cart and would only be able to play as a single in a cart, I was held up and had to play alone, starting at a later tee Time. The reason given was it was now course policy to only allow a maximum of 2 power carts per group.
I am a senior with health issues and felt that I was mistreated and punished unfairly because of a health issue.
I did not enjoy my round as a result.
So disappointed, what happened??
This was my first time playing at the Beddoe this year, was looking very forward to it as I have been playing this course since I was a child, about 50 years. This was the worse condition that I have ever seen the course in, almost asked for a refund. Until this course undergoes some much needed TLC we won't be back.
Chedoke Beddoe
Rough is a little long makes it hard to find your ball. Couple areas are a little dangerous from balls coming from other fairways
