Scenic Woods Golf and Country Club

I’ve played Scenic probably 15 times since last year. I love it here, one of my favourite spots to play by far. However this time the conditions were not as good as usual. The grass may have just been cut or something but tons of dead cut grass all over the fairways, first cuts longer than the rough at other courses. I lost 3 balls in the fairway. I’d still play here any time, but this wasn’t what I was used to. Staff is amazing as always.

I used GolfNow to book thinking I’m getting a good deal. I wasn’t able to select riding only the walking rate. When I got to the course asked for a cart they charge $25 per person. That’s outrageous.

Both the tees and the roughs needs to be maintained a bit better, fairways are okay but once one goes in the rough very difficult to come out or hit a decent shot

I enjoyed the layout. The rough was deep, like the US Open. This was right before a long weekend, so maybe it was due for a cut. But stray balls were hard to find. The greens were also long, so very slow. They clearly hadn't been cut or rolled in a few days.

Overall, a fun course for an after-work evening round.

Shot an 82, no complaints.

We played this course on Sunday May 4th 2025. While the course was it pretty decent condition considering the rain we had, for the green fee that was paid, was not justifiable. I understand that the course needs to be maintained however, for the patchy greens that we had to putt on, i am not sure that the $60 green fee was worth it. (We walked and if we rode it would have been $80).

It is a fun course to play, but i still cannot justify the green fee. If you can get this course under 45$ id say book it. Anything above that is just nuts….

For the time of year many of the greens were in rough shape lots of dead areas. Many holes were missing fairway yardage markers. The layout was confusing not much signage to indicate where the next hole was.

I’ve played courses of similar value and they were in much better condition.

I would only recommend if there was nothing else available. I played this course 2 years ago and nothing much changed. Overpriced for the condition of the course.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Tee boxes were terrible. Needs to be repaired and rolled. Price was ok cart paths need to be graded and they need new carts they were awful.

Punched a few weeks ago and still bumpy … lots of dead grass around the edges of the greens …

Fantastic piece of property with so much potential. Some greens were large patches of bare dirt, decks were hacked up pretty bad with no obvious effort to grow back.. Rope half the deck off, throw seed and top soil down, water and fertilize. Several areas around the cart paths had potholes and bare dirt. Bunkers were hard and unkept. Like I said... soooo much potential but..

All the greens are being arreated will not play this course again until they fix the greens
