Northern Dunes Golf Club
About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Great course, poor maintenance
We played this course a few weeks ago and the conditions were perfect. The course was gorgeous and the fairways were lovely and green. However for some reason they have not been watering the fairways and they are dried out and yellow. The greens are in excellent shape so if only they would spend a little time Watering the fairways. We won’t play there again until probably the fall, unless we hear they improve their maintenance.
much better riding carts
So glad that Northern Dunes has purchased some new seats for some of the riding carts -- no more duct tape! Makes golfing there a much more pleasant experience. Really enjoy the golf course and look forward to many more games there now.
Great pace of play decent price good greens manager is attentive other staffgood
Nice course

Riding Carts
we really enjoy this golf course but they really need to get some new riding carts!
Best course on the Penninsula
Course is in great shape! Challenging and great lay out! Staff are all very friendly.
Like the layout
We played yesterday and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the greens had been punched and sanded so played a little differently. The rough was long and difficult to play out of. Because of the time of the year, this is all understandable. We played earlier in the year and all was well. Especially like the hot deals (when we can get them). Highly recommend the Dunes!
great value
greens are in great condition. Enjoyed the course very much and will play it again
Awesome Course
Challenging course in excellent condition. Friendly staff, good food, good prices.
Friendship abounds.
I'm treated like a member and this is my course. The staff and other players are very welcoming. Front nine is a links and forest setting. The back, more parklike. An all around joy!
Excellent greens
The course was in great condition the greens in excellent shape
Staff was friendly and very helpful
The beer was cold & very tasty
challeging layout
This course plays more difficult than it looks. The greens are better than most courses in this area. A fun layout with trouble all around. Best course in the area for the money.
Good day by all
We went on GolfNow and booked a twosome and matched up with another twosome. Real nice gentleman and lots of fun. Course can get hard in the dry conditions but due to all the rain we have had, greens were biting great. I would recommend this course for the money we spent.
Northern gem
I played last fall for the first time. The trees were gorgeous. It has a great mix of grassy openness and forest setting and lots of contour change that neighboring courses lack. Staff goes the extra mile to make you welcome and satisfied.
