Ingersoll Golf and Country Club
About
The classic design of Ingersoll Golf Club appeals to both avid and casual golfers. The layout is a good mix of holes, tricky doglegs as well as straightaways like the par-5 ninth, which is possible to reach in two. Mature trees line most of the holes and there is the occasional multi-tiered green to watch out for. Water makes an occasional appearance but the far more worrisome element of the round is the strategic bunkering that protects the greens. Ingersroll Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4 third. It features a small elevated green but it is doable with two good shots. The golf course ends with one of its toughest holes, a par 4 whose green is heavily protected on both sides by bunkers.

A Must Play...
You have to play this course...first chance you get in fact. I've played this course many times over the years and I think it's in the best condition that I've ever seen. Absolutely wonderful. The fairways are lush and cut to the perfect length. The greens are holding very well and are rolling true. I will admit that the bunkers need some attention but I was told that they have new sand and they will be worked on very soon. Don't listen to what you may have heard about the condition...the course is a gem once again. I'd play it every day if I could.
Average course for your average golfer
Average course that could be maintained better. Fairways were terribly cut and had huge puddles in areas. I know we had a lot of rain recently but the drainage seemed very poor.

Very cool course, we enjoyed our time! Will definitely play there again if we can find a good deal! Wonder where to find them? Haha...

Imaginative Layout
I don't play here frequently, but I always enjoy a round at Ingersoll. The layout is a good test of golf. The course is in good shape, with one notable exception: the sand traps. More care needs to go into keeping them properly maintained. The fairways were in quite good shape, and for greens that were aerated in the last two weeks, they ran fairly well. The GolfNow Hot Deal made the cost very attractive. Definitely give this course a try.
Needs some attention, but greens are in good shape
Ingersoll is no longer the course it once was. Bunkers around greens were good, but some fairway bunkers we we overgrown. Not sure why. No washroom facilities after 9. They should change the course back to the way it used to be. #13 should be #10 so you pass the clubhouse after 9. Would not play without a discount.
Overall the condition were fine, but not as pristine as it used to be.
condition of the course was excellent
greens and fairways were in excellent shape. especially with the hot dry weather conditions of late. Staff were freindly, I was paired up with another three, who were a lot of fun.
trees!
Watch out for those pesky trees! They are everywhere and seemed to be impossible to get out of! Great condition on fairway and greens, the tee block may need some TLC, there's no place to tee off where it wasn't sloping or angled. Aside from the ever looming scare of dark clouds in the background we had a great time at the course.
Tired old lady
Have played this course many times in the past but this was the first time in a few years. Definitely lacking in money to maintain. Bunkers were full of grass and basically unplayable. Layout is great and holes are interesting. Restaurant food was great and staff very friendly both in the pro shop and the restaurant. Still an interesting course but a bit run down.
Beautiful Old Course
Other than a couple of issues, I found this course to be excellent value for the money. The fairways are lined with beautiful old growth trees and are in excellent condition. The greens are well maintained and hold fairly well, even for a someone of middling ability such as myself. Unfortunately, the traps for the most part appear not have been groomed for months and in some cases are weed infested. While I enjoyed the front nine, the back nine feels a bit congested as it circles back and forth around the clubhouse.
Ingersoll course..
The course was in great condition - speed of play was great. Nice mix of different holes. The price of beverages a bit steep. In all a lovely round!! Lots of nice nature - baby squirrels added many smiles.
Not What it Used to Be!
This once fine course has been allowed to deteriorate through lack of proper maintenance. Even the basics - cutting weeds, sand for bunkers, regular mowing of tees - have been neglected. SAD!!
Worth the drive if price is right
An excellent course in most respects, although the sand in the traps is very thin with hardpan underneath. Interesting holes, many with significant elevation changes. One small problem is the selection of tees. Front nine plays 3353 from the whites while back is only 2865. Too long for many from the whites, but too short from the yellow tees. A simple solution was to play from whites with the exception of 4 holes where a move to yellow was warranted. A golfnow "hot deal" made the drive from Mississauga worthwhile
Ingersol Golf
The course was over booked so after playing 12 holes in 4 hours and waiting 10 minutes on each hole to tee off decided to go home.
Spoke with staff and got a 18 hole rain check for one of the 2 players who played the rd.
Slow Play
This was the slowest round I have ever had. There was no marshal to help pick up play.
Good value
We paid roughly $35 to play 18 holes with cart. Very good value, though the greens aren't nearly as good as I remember them being years ago. Nice layout with a good variety of holes.
Nice course at good price
The course is always fun to play and offers a good callenge. Tee boxes, fairways and rough are in great condition considering the harsh winter. The greens didn't fair as well, but they appear to be coming back. Should be great in another couple of weeks. Had lunch in the clubhouse which was tasty but a bit on the pricey side for a simple soup and sandwich.
Muddy conditions
Greens slow. Some mud. In fact had to abandon cart due to one foot of mud taking down our cart.
