Ingersoll Golf and Country Club
About
The classic design of Ingersoll Golf Club appeals to both avid and casual golfers. The layout is a good mix of holes, tricky doglegs as well as straightaways like the par-5 ninth, which is possible to reach in two. Mature trees line most of the holes and there is the occasional multi-tiered green to watch out for. Water makes an occasional appearance but the far more worrisome element of the round is the strategic bunkering that protects the greens. Ingersroll Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4 third. It features a small elevated green but it is doable with two good shots. The golf course ends with one of its toughest holes, a par 4 whose green is heavily protected on both sides by bunkers.

Course in great shape
Love this course - nice mix of holes. Problem was the 3 men in front of us who kept hitting balls until they had one shot they liked. Then it took another 7 minutes or so for them to find all their balls. This wasn’t fun. No ranger around. We left after 11 holes.
This is definitely not the Ingersoll of a few years ago. The new ownership has not kept the course in the condition the former superintendent and staff excelled too. Still a tough challenge, just disappointing to see an old favourite fall out of favour
Narrow
Found lot of long narrow holes and extra long rough
Making a come back
With new owners in place this course looks like it is making a comeback
I grew up playing this course and the last few years the course was not up to par. Playing this year you can see the new owners are starting to reinvest back into the course.
The rough is a little longer an I think it adds to the play and look of the course. The greens and sandtraps are being looked after again after some years of neglect.
Look forward to seeing this course become a jewel in the area again
This is an interesting course. Due to long winter, conditions are not up to par. We will return in a couple of weeks and I am sure it will be in great shape and I can write a much better review. This is normally a beautiful course.
Good Value Course
My wife and I recently played Ingersoll Golf Club and found it to be an enjoyable round. Course conditions would seem to indicate that they need more members to provide the revenue to continue improving this 18 hole layout. Probably best to walk this course if possible as we took a gas cart and found the fairways and rough extrememly bumpy - enough to book a same day appointment with your chiropractor after the round ! Pace of play was excellent - just under four hours. A few members allowed us to play through as a twosome which showed good club etiquette. The greens were soft and had many unrepaired ball marks but they rolled true. We enjoyed the restaurant and patio which we would recommend for a drink or lunch after golf.
Nice to play a course from 1952 and still in great shape even with an ownership change 5 years ago
Need to be straight on most holes
Enjoy
average experience
While it was still an enjoyable round, the course appeared a bit neglected (Stairs, paths, etc need repair, and carts are old). Greens were very soft, appears to be from recent wet conditions. Course felt "shoe-horned" into available space, even from the whites.
Awesome Greens
Was out with two of my sons for an early round of golf. My younger son had played here last year with me and wanted to return. It was an excellent day. The check-in staff at the pro shop and the starter were all very friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent shape from tee to green but I especially want to comment on the greens. They were awesome easily some of the best I have played on this year. They were soft and held well and ran true. My compliments to their greens keeper. It appears they have been doing some work on their sand traps. Nice new sand perhaps a little deep and fluffy as your feet sink in some of them. Halfway house was closed at the turn but we did manage to slip in to the lounge to get a drink and a sandwich as we past the clubhouse between holes 12 and 13. The course layout has a number of tree-lined fairways but is wide-enough not to be intimidating. The rough is not overly deep but the ball sits down in it making it difficult to find the ball sometimes. Overall a very enjoyable morning of golf and will definitely be returning.
Nice mature course.
Very much enjoyed our day at this course. Tree lined fairways and we'll maintained. Only minor complaint would be some cart paths need some repair. Stopped in the clubhouse after the round and the food was good as well. Recommend this course.
