Innisfil Creek Golf Course
About
Innisfil Creek Golf Club was modeled after the traditional links courses of the Scottish seaside. It's a seemingly short layout at 5,674 yards from the back tees but don't be fooled. An abundance of water and an undulating terrain that ranges from subtle to dramatic will keep you on your toes. Contoured mounding, thick rough, and several strategically placed waste bunkers add to the links feel as do the whipping winds that blow across the golf course daily. There are enough challenging holes to please seasoned golfers but it's still gentle enough for beginners to tackle with confidence. The fourth hole is one of Innisfil Creek Golf Club's most memorable. This par 3 is nearly all water with a massive pond in front of the small green and a creek running behind it.

Nice course for mid to high handicappers
I've played here 3 times this summer and I found the course enjoyable. Great course for mid to high handicappers....shot an 83 on my last visit. Water hazards on a few holes but only the 4th hole i'd regard as tricky. Pace of play was fine as most golfers understood proper golf etiquette. Staff was friendly and club house offered the emmenities of most courses such as hot food and TV.
Personal note: I forgot my wedge there the week before and I noticed it missing a week later. Called Greg at the club house and to my relief he said it was there. Very thankful for that.
Water, water and more water
Just make sure you have a lot of balls when you play this course if you can't play very good. I loose at least half a dozen balls every time. But it is still a very nice course .
Great golf value.
A surprisingly challenging layout - do not judge this course from a drive by. The fairways are well kept and the greens run true. Lots of trouble if you do not hit it straight. One of the best courses for the money in the Barrie area.
Short, challenging, disappointing
A very short course for experienced players, particularly after accounting for several holes that were substantially shorter than advertised on the score card. Lots of water and small target areas to hit, which makes this quite difficult for inexperienced players, so not sure who the target market is. Strange layout, probably a result of trying to cram 18 holes into too small a foot print. Right next to the highway so lots of traffic noise on a few holes.
Nice course dissapointing carts
Enjoyed the course, if you stay out of the pot bunkers you can score well. The carts were filthy dirty, appears they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Windy conditions make the course challenging.
short but challenging
Nice course, short but challenging with the creeks and fesque coming into play on a lot of holes. Staff are friendly and the course is in good shape.
One issue that may be of concern is that on a couple of holes when you cross over to the next hole, you have to be very aware of the group ahead of you teeing off, as you are now in their line of fire.
Other than that, the round was enjoyable and I would play it again
Wet and wild!
Not the longest course but almost every hole has fescue grass and/or water. Make the most of accurate placements of your shots rather than trying to hit the ball a mile. The fairways and greens are in good condition, there are a couple holes under repair. The amenities in the tent are ok but not overwhelmiing and there is no beer cart. The pace was slow at first but at the turn we were allowed to play thru; saw nobody behind or ahead of us for the back nine. Really enjoy playing this course because it requires you to execute golf shots rather than just blasting away onto wide fairways. More sand traps would be interesting, especially if the waste area on the 7th could be converted into a rather large trap.
Janice and Barry
We will play this course again.Found it a challenge, with the water on most holes. The 400 traffic did not bother us.
Definetely a value for money. The course was in great shape, considering all the rain we have had.
Nice course, maturing well
This is a tight course, especially the front 9. Lots of water hazards and "natural" areas to watch out for. Greens are on the small side and bunkering is good. Course conditions are quite good and the property is well maintained. The layout is odd for the first 6 holes, after which it's a decent layout, although none of the par 4s are over 400 yards, and only 2 are over 380.
I like Innisfil as a practice layout. Got a deal online before going to the course, so the cost with cart on a weekday can be under $40. An 18-hole round often takes less than 3 hours.
Best value in area
It is very quick and easy to get to, being so close to the 400 (although there is traffic noise because of it). The course is fairly flat with only a few trees, but there is lots of water to make the game challenging: every hole has at least one pond, creek and reeds or fescue borders. The fairways are always well-groomed and the greens are in great shape.
Good
I enjoyed a good round. The course was looking good.
Great spot
Course was in great shape. It is a very nice corse when the ponds are full.
Not as long but great for the average golfer. There is lots of water and your drives must be straight.
I thought the greens were very good.
If you like walking this is a perfect course.
Wet day
The course is very short, but not to bad. 3 hour round and fair.
