Terrible Conditions Do yourself a favour and find something else!
We arrived at the course and everything seemed fine until we started playing and realizing the the conditions of this course is completely unacceptable for $150 a round! The greens all have easily over 100 ball marks that are not repaired by anyone! The bunkers are like cement and have not been raked or by any grounds crew ! Do they have a grounds crew??? Or did all the students leave and is it understaffed? I’ve played here many times as I live 5 min away but unfortunately this course reminds me of the west and east that is on the premises just cheaper! It’s very sad . I spoke to a JR Pro that was very polite and the result was a hand shake and an apology saying “I’m sorry to lose your buisness “ no offers to come and play again or even an offer for 9 holes or anything for that matter like a free drink or sandwich! Please do yourself a favour and play anywhere else like Silver Lakes or Shawnakee that are not only cheaper but make this course like a cow pasture with the conditions and price. I will never return and will tell everyone I know!!! Just terrible, terrible TERRIBLE!!
Pace of play is very slow been a couple times now and it’s over booked in my opinion every hole waiting at least 10 minutes
Putting greens were very bumpy and beat up
Great course but
Course was great condition, holes are challenging and overall a long Course
However the pace of play was very slow. Back 9 got clogged up. They may have let some people play start on back 9. Some staff were also playing. It was an evening round. Not happy that we couldn't finish the full 18 due to backlog. Did raise my concerns to the staff but nothing was done. Not what I would expect from Redcrest Course. Especially what you pay to play.
Excellent track
It was my first time playing this course. Great overall experience. Wish the beverage cart made more rounds.
Price vs course experience etc
Redcrest should be a course that plays without frustration and for the $$ charged one should expect a round, from arriving to departing on par to that of a club link course which they try to emulate!!
You can't move your carts prior to tee time even though the first tee and green is empty. The carts constantly complain that your are where you shouldn't be even though you are in the middle of the fairway or even the cart path twice! The course was empty and they forced 2 twosomes to go as a 4some with one guy walking further slowing down our round! Oh the sand, what sand .. for this price? When, I made mention of the carts crying the entire round, there was no olive branch offered, other than we will look into it. At these prices there are better choices. Yes there was a lot of rain days before, so for the class of course this should be and the $$ charged NO .. they made par 4 1rst hole cart only, without any notice.
Great time
I was grouped together with three guys that were already friends, and they treated me like I had known them for years. Even with all of the rain the course was in great shape. The fairways are in amazing condition. The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. Very happy I was able to experience this course with the group that I was with.
Great course
Overall great course
Play the correct tbox for your game and it’s laid out just right
Only negative is fairways aren’t marked regarding no-enter areas and cart just shuts down surprisingly.
My suggestion is to define these areas with fairway markers
Other than that it’s a very nice and enjoyable golf course.
Great Value
Good challenging course. Good value vs other courses in the area
Turtles pace !!!!
Beautiful course but this is the 3rd time I’ve played it and it makes me sick how slow it is. And we didnt see a marshal all day long. If there was one he wasn’t doing F___ Alll about the pace of play. It’s really to bad because this is a nice course. The group in front of us had 2 beginners playing and they may as well have been on a driving range. They were hitting minimum 3 balls off the tee every hole. It was so frustrating to wait in every tee box biting our tongues trying not to say something. We eventually passed them at the turn. Clear sailing after that right !? Nope not a chance. We got to 12 and we must have caught up to the prior groups friends. Long story short , we just called it a day and left. It was sickening. Oh well live and learn. That is 3 rounds we have played there now and it’s always the same. No more Redcrest for us unless they learn what the meaning of a Marshal is.
