Redcrest has changed….
First impression? Starters didn’t even acknowledge me dropping bags at bag drop. Didn’t help, didn’t even say a word. They sent us all off as twos which was incredibly backed up. But most disturbing was the course was just not taken care of like before. Greens were horrible… slow and full of unprepared ball marks. For the money… not worth it anymore.
Too bad because clubhouse and dinners are great… but course has been left to go.
Average everything
The course is meh. Boring and some really dumb holes, 4 & 10 specifically. $133 plus tax ? No thanks. Will not go back.
Rained
Rained after 10 holes course didn’t refund because I paid on GolfNow and looked for 10 minutes on GolfNow rain policy and couldn’t find it. Gave up. Course was good a bit slow and bag drop guy fighting everyone.
Not Impressed
Went on golf now and got a hot deal. Found out it was regular price. First disappointment. Then get there and it's cart path only. BS In my mind. Summer rates and they charge that for spring setting. Not happy with this place since the new owners took it over. My adice there is way better deals else were. Rethink this place. Not worth it.
Rained out
We were rained out on the 9th hole and decided to get a rain check but because we booked through Golf Now they told us rudely that we would have to go through Golf Now. I ask the gentleman for a contact as I couldn't find one online he basically shrugged me off. So I'm out a round of Golf. Please rectify this matter.
Fun track
Fun track - not sure it’s worth the price they charge though - especially compared to the value offered by the other 2 Cardinal courses. This course doesn’t have a driving range to warm up at. It’s an enjoyable layout with a lot of water hazards on the course. Played in tough (windy & cold) conditions, and the pace of play on the back 9 was quite slow, especially given it was not that busy. Waited about 5-15 minutes on every tee from the 8 hole onward and didn’t see a Marshall trying to move things along at all. Made for an unenjoyable back 9. To boot, a group of 2 behind me gave up waiting and then joined their friends in the group in front of me, playing in as 5-some for the last 3 holes, slowing things down even more. Course was in good shape for the time of year.
