About
Rockway Golf Course celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2010. This classic course, situated in the heart of Kitchener, has long been a favorite in the Waterloo region. When it opened back in 1935, it was the area's first public course. With its lush fairways lined with mature trees, it is almost impossible to guess that the golf course sits on the former site of a sewage treatment plant. The course has a traditional layout that is gentle enough for beginners but is still an inviting challenge for more advanced players. The front nine offers a gentle start but the course gets progressively more difficult on the back nine. Overall, though, the golf course has some challenging holes but nothing too intimidating. In addition to the course, Rockway also boasts one of the area's largest practice greens as well as a chipping area with a sand bunker.

This course has great features, .
This course has well maintained fairways and greens with mature trees lining the fairways. It has a little something for every golfer.
Spring golf
Course was a little wet but expected for this time.
Greens in great shape. Overall great condition and look for forward to playing this summer in drier conditions.
Just not ready for the season
Rockway is a short fun old course but it has seen better days. The shop had young girls working who didn't know what they were doing. Pro shop empty of merchandise and 3 holes closed that we weren't informed off.
Really disappointed.
Kitchener Rockway
Great value for your money. Fun and challenging municipal golf course good condition. Keep the ball in the fairway or you will struggle to make a par. Lots of trees and a great layout with a history of great golf players such as Moe Norman, Gary Cowan, Gerry Kessilring, Gus Maue and Gary Doernhoffer.
Aerated greens
Aerated greens, conditions were good other wise. Rough is thick and challenging. Fall colors are very beautiful.
Great course in the city
Rockway Golf course is one of my favorite courses to play. It has a great layout and just enough trees, water and sand challenges.
