About
Situated just west of Lindsey, Oliver's Nest Golf & Country Club is an idyllic escape that sprawls across rolling hills with the Mariposa Brook ambling through. The golf course opened in 1996 and despite being relatively young, Graham Cooke, a well known Canadian architect who designed the course, managed to incorporate the mature elms, oaks, and cedar trees that were already present in the wooded surroundings. Half of the holes on this challenging golf course are doglegs. The greens are fast and undulating and the rolling fairways are varied in size. The winding brook comes into play on several holes and there is also an abundance of strategically placed bunkers throughout. Oliver's Nest Golf & Country Club's signature hole is the par-3 seventh, whose green is protected by a pond in the front and trees in the back.

Oliver's nest.
This course is well laid out and extremely challenging. This is the second time I have played Oliver's Nest and I would difinitely recommed to other golfers.
good shape
course is in good shape for beginning of the year. alot of fun. some greens are crazy.
Fall golf
Have played here many times over the years . The course has improved significantly since golf north took over. Leaves were not a problem for this time of year, however the food selection was limited. Good value, good course.
Service
The clubhouse was great. Food was terrible groundskeeper cut the grass when we wee putting. Groundskeeper ignored us on the tee off and shot grass clippings at us. In 40 years of golf Ive never experienced this I would play the course again but easy decision considering we only paid 20 bucks with a cart
Great Value
Course was in wonderful shape. Greens were awesome. If this place had paved cart paths and a full club house it would be a club link candidate. Let hope not. Let's hope it stays the same being a great track for being less than $50.00 with a ride
enjoyed the course
My wife and I played in 13 degrees , windy and heavy dark clouds. The course was wet due to rain the previous days. We both enjoyed the course very much. There is a lot of variety and character beyween the different holes and the course design , greens and pin placements made one think over shots and putts. In our mind this is one of the best courses in a radius of 75 k from Peterborough and well worth playing. Pars are the reward for good shots and good putting. Kudos to the maintenence folks for well maintained fairways and greens.
Pace of play
Very good condition and layout. Pace of play too slow. I suggest more marshalling required. It took 4 1/2 hours to play.
Return trip
Haven't played here in 14 years so quite surprised. Conditions were really good. Fairways and tees were excellent and greens were very good and fairly quick. Clubhouse is still jib need of an upgrade but functional. I'll be back again.
course plays wellwith all the right challenges

Cart breakkdown
The golf course was in good shape, greens were cut. The cart we were using kept breaking down,seemed like battery problem cart 102 .We walked from hole 18 to the club house. We were given another cart to finish.There was three men in the club house and some of the cart seats were wet! All in all ok .
Good cottage course
This is in general for every course. If they are going to cut grass and other maintence to the course can they start from 18 and back so that you don't have to deal with them on almost every hole. This way you only see them once. It's very annoying. In general this is a pretty nice course not to hard.
Outstanding Golf Course
This is an outstanding golf course in excellent condition from tee to green - fairways and traps especially in great shape, greens were a little slow. The course has a great layout with several forced carries to add to the challenge.
Definitely recommended
First time here and very impressed with the condition of the course, and the layout is nice. Totally enjoyable round from start to finish. Not busy. Marshall and pro shop guys both very friendly. Going back soon....
Good Course
Played here 10 or so times the last 5 years. Golf North is doing a good job making needed improvements as it was getting a little run down 2 years ago when they took over. Overall it is a well designed course that challenges better golfers but can be fun for novices. I find the pace of play always really good.
Excellent Experience
the staff were excellent and the course layout and conditions were probably the best I have played so far this year. I definitely would recommend this course to my friends and others

Course was in extremely nice condition, greens were in excellent shape.

not real hard but important to put the ball in the right part of the green or you may have several 3 putts
Great round
The course was in excellent condition, a few challenges but generally a forgiving course. Pace was steady with no back logs or pressure from the next group. Will definitely be back.
Great time had by all
First time this year to play this course. Had a difficult time booking earlier in the year.
As a foursome we enjoyed the course and the pace of play was great.
We played two on two - best ball, was able to keep up to the twosome ahead of us. This made for fast pace of play and enjoyable game.
Impressed with the improved quality of the fairways.
The grounds keeper has done a great job to improve the course.
