!8 holes played and the first 6 were played for a second time
It was fun round and got used to the somewhat hidden water.
Great Time!
Had an excellent time and stayed to play more. It was the first time out this season for each of us, so having the range on site was nice to work out the rust. Course is fairly wide open and forgiving but has it's share of challenges. Really enjoyed it and the staff were great. Will go back again!
Good hidden gem
This is an excellent link course. Good selection of part 4 and 5. Will definitely play this course again
beginner or senior course
ground is very hard and difficult to get under the ball but short yardage to hole so easy to par or birdie - fairways are very close together so watch for other players
12 holes, a nice length
The course is fine, it is short, but that is a known.
The sand traps lack sand, they need work.
Good for beginners
It's a nice course, never too busy. Really good for beginners. The course was dry and needs water. Good paced and the people there were GREAT.
Problems with completing game
The team at the course were fine, but they advised they had a tournament stating at 1 Pm, so we could not finish our 18 holes. By managing to get off early and moving fast we finished 15, but Golf Now should be aware and advise me on these situations
Good Fun at Deer Run Golf
Had a nice round, thunder storm was threatening however we made it through. Great staff and good food. Great atmosphere.
Boring track
Not a course for a serious golfer. All the holes are straight, and open. Lots of seniors and couples, make for a slow round.
Keep coming back
I have played this course a few times now and it is a nice course and they have great deal.
Excellent value
Great course and great deals. Wide open and some challenging holes.
Deer Fly Run
Fairways were bed of weeds, tee decks overgrown with weeds, not manicured.
Pace of play extremely slow.
Saving Grace..Super cheap.
12 holes
It is a nice course. Mostly a retirees community. You play the 12 holes then repeat the first 6 for ur 18.
golfadvisor mistake
good course -lousy directions -course is not on little britain road but is on elm tree road -the one on little britain road for golf advisor is crestwood and it is 20 minutes away. this should be corrected
Great course for seniors and beginner golfers
Staff are extremely friendly and courteous. The course is great for senior and junior golfers. There are some challenging holes with obstacles such as ponds and bunkers and a few holes have narrow fairways and tress to the sides. Other holes are wide open and great for the middle game and putting greens can be challenging as well.
very friendly owners and staff
The friendliest bunch of people you will meet. No one rushes you and the wings are delicious
Give it time to grow in
An interesting layout but not a long or challenging test of golf. The tee boxes and fairways need to grow in as there are many bare and uneven spots; I would not risk my wrists taking divots out of most of the fairways. Speeds on the greens are inconsistent. Pay attention to the ponds marked on the scorecard as most of them are not seen until you are right up to them.
This is a 12 hole course but we were offered 24 holes at the same price
We enjoyed the course and it was not busy until about 3 pm. The people we met on the course were all locals and very friendly. A few of the greens will give you a challenge unless you land your ball close to the flag. The coloured flag concept could be used to let you know the hole location on the green. Overall we had a great day.
Great value for beginners or old farts like me.
First time and had a great time. It is quite flat with very little water and virtually no sand. Everyone very friendly. It is a twelve hole course which is perfect.
We played in just over two hours in perfect weather. I will be going back.
Thank you for your feed back, we have rebuilt the traps with new edging and fresh sand. Please let us know what you think.
